Asked my mother today about the scooter ,..............

It was a write off and was left in Lyon , they had to get from lyon to calais ( with help from british council ) , then they only had enough on them to get a train to London , where the banks at that time shut at 3 , so they were stuck in London , with ripped cloths and my dads arm in a sling , stood wondering what to do and a lorry driver pulled up and asked them if they were ok , ( it was throwing it down and in the middle of the night so they stood out ) And in them days people looked after others .Anyway the lorry driver was going to Leeds market and gave them a lift to leeds !!! They never saw the scooter again
