My dad and uncle's mate was in a band called 'felt', unsure if anyone would of heard of them ? anyway they did a book signing the other week at rough trade in london, martin duffy who is now in primal scream was also in the band, he told my uncle that the week before he had been out with mani, and he went to the cashpoint with him to draw out 50 quid....mani's balance came up on the screen and he had 1.8million in there, and that was he said, just the first payment from the people in charge of the comeback.......I'd of thought they are gonna net well in excess of 10 million each ?

Suprised people know them, im shocked !! Didn't realise they were that popular, they've got a fairly big cult following though, and this interest means there always stuff being wrote about them in the way of fanzines, they're always made in limited edition at a high cost and they sell out instantly usually.

I bumped into the drummer yesterday in home bargains of all places, (my dad and uncles mate) and he told me martin duffy lives in brighton these days, him upstairs on his own and his mrs downstairs with another bloke whilst they're getting divorced, apparently she's gonna take him to the cleaners and he's just made a bomb off the screamadelica tour, he used to live with him, himself !!

They supported the roses in paris in 1990 i think it was, maybe later than that maybe earlier, but i know my uncle couldn't get time off work so didn't go !! Some cracking stories about knocking about with the band !!

Yeah, complete weirdo though, tight as fuck and robs everyones royalties, apparently has nothing in his house bar a bed and a few other things, no food or nothing !! A documentry came out about him a few months ago called lawrence of belgravia !!

Shame I don't have a ticket - kind of annoys me knowing a lot of the people who have got tickets were the ones who didn't like them in the 80s.

I've liked them since about 18, so in reality i didn't think i deserved a ticket, but it just pisses me off when they all end up on ebay, I'll hopefully either get one a few weeks before off ebay or go on the day and try my luck outside....what are you going to do ?

Probably nowt and just hope one lands in my lap.....there's a slight possibility that some going with mates may drop out.

Really can't be bothered trawling the bay or travelling there and possibly not getting in and being miles from home (nowadays).

I heard Saun Ryder on Xfm talking about Mani's bank balance. Says he expects Mani to be found tied up in a Salford flat with 4 blokes in balaclavas torturing him for his pin code

Yeah, Usually with these big gigs the ticket prices are less than face value on the days leading up to the date !!

All depends though....that is usually apparent by the ammount that flood ebay straight away !! And the actual demand/willingness to pay over the odds by fans !!
