Not been able to find a White that doesn't taste too acidic for me.
you need to spend more than 3 quid on a bottle
I do but on red only
Can you recommend a white in the region of 10 a bottle that isn't acidic in any way?
I'm not expert I usually go to majestics and let them do the recomending. Had some nice sauvignon blanc fron chile last time about 8 - 10 quid a bottle.
Prefer red, but don't mind white with food, like rioja, merlot bordeaux etc, work mate nipped over to france last weekend and fetched me 4 cases of granache back, its cheap and smooth as silk..
I ll drink most types of white wine, but I cant stand red, or sparkling. At a pinch I d go for Sancere when I m flushed, otherwise Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc..
Love a good malbec, and most pubs and bars stock one now. At home i usually drink a Bordeaux, chateau gillet from m and s at £6.50, and it's really rather good. There's also an american red called stag's leap which is like bloomin' nectar.
As far as whites go I'm into sancerre big time, but I've not tried much else.
Quote by NunoI currently have in my home Duckhorn and Leap Frog sauvignon blanc.
Not sure of distribution to the UK on them.
Leap Frog is a reasonably common one. Retails at about £25 a bottle over here though, definitely something to watch for in the sales if you're a wine fan
Fucking love the stuff - mainly red... Just been across France and managed to pick up 4 cases of Cotes Du Rhone at 10 Euros a pop in addition to a unhealthy amount of Belgian beer (Grimbergen) from the crackhead's Carrefour at Calais. This is possibly the scariest supermarket you'll ever visit I hated the stuff when I was early 20's then after a few years with a posh bird, got well into it and can hold my own with the toffs !! White's are ok, Sauvignon as mentioned above preferred but I'm quite partial to a decent Chardonnay (as girly as that sounds)
Strictly Dark rum as soon as can get on it, and never understood wine, every bottle i tried just tasted like shit/vinegar so I gave up and then this rather tasty piece put me onto some decent ones and where i had been drinking the wrong sort, I now dont mind a few glasses but not really a big drinker outside going out. Like a good red now and a sweet white, not into that rose bolloxs. I used to drink Mead a lot as there were so many flavours but not bothered with that for a while.
