Yes, moral panics yet again. But i wouldn't say that was highlighting the danger, to me it was highlighting the problem of overt racism. There was one example of racist targeting shown (In terms of attacks). Good eye opening programme, but if you didnt know about the problems both countries have you've been blinkered for the last few years !
When it was first announced that the tournament would be held in Poland/Ukraine I said that it was a farce.
Yes there are brainless racists like this in every country, but the level of racism and anti-sematism in the top leagues of these Eastern European countries is abhorrent. What kind of message are UEFA sending out by taking a massive anti-racism stance for years, while allowing countries with a real and serious racism problem (and doing very little about it) to hold a major tournament?

I was in Ukraine last summer, Kiev for 2 nights and Poltava for 1 night watching Rovers in the 3rd qualifying round of the europa league. I Spoke to a couple of their "hooligans" and they went on about how they hated blacks and homosexuals etc I think a father and a son took a couple of slaps on there way back to the hotel aswell. But apart from that, it was sound. 99.9% of the fans were very friendly. Shaking our hands and clapping us as we left the stadium.
Wouldn't be the same without one of these scare stories, i didn't watch the tonights one but the fight in the field on sky sports news one was obviously a staged fake fight. Sky probably paid the Ukrainians to do it.
UEFA's anti racism stance? Really? Lot of bollocks and putting a front on it, they can hardly not say they are anti racist, can they? To me, this tournament going ahead proves that point.... It is all about the cash for them...
Some of the Ukranian and Polish folks thoughts and ideologies will go hand in hand with a fair few of the english lads, should get on like a house on fire...

last time i was there with england was 97 and its was non stop as soon as we got off the train, untill we got back on 3 days later great crack if thats what you want, but any paint faced england fan will get his eyes opened, was back 4 years ago on a stag and had a bit crack with some neo skinheads there was some big lumps and all they wanted to talk about was england, so there up for it your right about the police a few of my lot got money took off them and i got a few whackings. things must of changed a bit but not that much. on a plus note the lap dancers are the best i have seen in the world

Polish and ukranian police will have the areas sown up so tight that a fly couldn't fart without being arrested. They know everyone is looking at them those 2 weeks and they will be harsh towards any disturbance

Agreed. There was a few moments of him being in the right place at the right time though. That scrap kicking off basically on top of him was a bit nuts.
There wasn't any real shocks though was there. An element of eastern europeans are racist; not really a surprise is it.
I was outraged and disgusted by what I saw, someone really needs to put an end to this. Seriously, these men were wearing TRACKSUITS to a football match, UEFA please step in and stop this madness.
