Looking for a 35mm Camera, anyone point me in the direction of a good one? Don't want to spend too much, tried looking on ebay but there's so many - need to know what I'm looking for.
Leicas are usually a fine place to start, I've got a Pentax k1000 that I'm very happy with, extremely durable and good for practicing. From time to time I use a agat18 which is a small funny russian camera. Funny for fooling around but not very good if you wanna practive/get into photography. Pentax k1000 is probably my best advice. Although if you're looking for a camera to use daily, maybe for nights out etc, then you should definitely get one with a built in flash, probably runs on batteries, if you get one from the early-mid 90s there might be some with automatic functions as well. shouldn't be too expensive either. I don't know much about those though, sorry..
this is an example of a picture I took with the pentax.

I inherited it, so don't know about the pricing. But I guess they go from around 40-50 quid on ebay? Most cities still has a photography store, so maybe go and ask for advice - usually they are quite helpful from my experience. I don't know much about the leica minicams, however if you want a camera with flash, I know of a friend who's very happy for his canon af35m.. pretty compact. other than that, the konika compacts are pretty often seen at parties/festivals etc, seems like a very easy series if you want a carry-around camera. one example is the mg (http://www.d2gallery.com/camera-konica_mg.php), but there are loads - guides should be pretty easy to find.
Personally, I think I would like a smaller, lighter and more compact camera - as much as I like the pentax, it is quite heavy (many steel components) and without a flash its mostly useable during the warmer season. and, it is often very funny to take pictures during evenings/nights - serves as great memories when you get the film developed months later :)
