Any help would be appreciated. Not looking for something amazing, just a good bit of kit that will do most things needed for a descent price.

I would say i had 1 for ya but a freaking hazzle to send it to UK tbh.

If you can build it yourself you get way more value for money. If not i would consider Dell or HP for ya.

Go for 4 gig DDR3 ram and around 500 GB harddrive. Minimum dual core cpu. Should not run you more than 400 quid

Stay away from dell mate,anything goes wrong with it their service is the worst ever............................

Mate with my knowledge of computers,that im afraid means jack shit to me, but im still very gratefull for any help;)

Picked up a MacBook about a month ago and it's amazing cost me £500 it's just over a year old- took it to the mac shop and they updated the software and put in a new battery all for nothing, great customer service, you can get the same one for about 800-900 brand new, wouldn't go back to windows again.

Personally i'd stay away from Dell and HP,Dell put loads off stuff you don't need on and the HP laptop i'm on now is disappointing. Got my daughter a Toshiba laptop for Christmas and am quite impressed with it,thinking about getting one myself or possibly just taking the daughters off her
