It has been out a while. I know Caroline Gall quite well. She lives in Stourbridge. She's done a few 'hoolie' books.

I'm on the cover, out of all the photos they did I thought it was poor though, there was lads who have been knocking around at the prime of Albion who were still in the blue gates boozer when that was taken outside and lads at the front who had been up for a couple of matches, because of all the factions up there some wouldn't go there because others are there etc, political bollocks, theres another photo in the book of us outside Stone Cross and theres only 5 of us in that photo that was on the front of the book which shows how big a problem it is up there, theres various spats with lads from worcester and west brom, west brom and smethwick, Stone Cross and West Brom, the list goes on, I get on with everyone because I've always done my own thing no matter who I'm with, poor organisation but thats Albion all over

Interesting. I've a theory about her. Read the Zulu's book, then I saw she was doing one with Leeds which I gave a swerve to. Got the distinct impression she got off on writing about and being in the company of so called testosterone fuelled top boys....

...but to be fair I've given most of those books in swerve in recent years. Enjoyed the early stuff from the Chelsea lads who did the Naughty Nineties and Hoolifan - they went Hooliewood after that, well at least one of them. The books followed a trend thereafter: We were the hardest, we were never run........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Very few gave a different outlook or had a worthwhile insight - for what it's worth I thought the books written about Bristol Rovers, Luton and Dundee were top class but they didn't have the tag of 'superfirm' to worry about so could afford to be honest I guess.

Poor organisation, nail on the head there mate. I live near West Brom town centre and within a couple of miles of my house there are area's where 'outsiders' ain't made welcome. Smethwick, Tantany, Greets Green, Hill top spring to mind. The further you get, the bigger the list. Don't know why it's like that, that's the way it's alway's been and i can't see it ever changing.

One of the leeds lads has a pub in nuneaton i here about, never been to it though
Pal of mine runs nuneaton golf club and has lads evenings sometimes, had frankie fraser on last year

TBH, I've never read a 'Hoolie' book. And never spoken to Caroline about them. I've no idea how this one come about. I've known Freethy's missus since she was at school (she to is from Stourbridge too.) but it never really comes up in conversation. Not something I'm particular interested in anymore.
