watched barcalona v arsenal and although barcalona were out of this world at times i thought they were also throwing in alot of sneaky fouls and getting away with it. im not an arsenal fan.
I know barca sell themselves as being a 'cool' club of outsiders (no sponsership, catalans not spaniard etc) but for years they've had soft referees and got away with murder. they're the biggest team in europe (utd aside) and it shows in the treatment they get from uefa. Probably get dismissed by some on here for british paranoia but im sure that decisions consistently go against the bigger english clubs when they play spanish opposition.
Having said that Barca were by far the better team, 19 shots on target to 0 says it all. Another trophy less season for the gunners
Barca were by far the better team, but i agree they do get away with a lot of sneaky fouls,a team of their quality should not need to resort to such tactics.
Barca are UEFA's cuddly toy and can always depend on a dodgy ref when needs be. Chelsea are the most sinned against English side in this regard - the Overbo game was the biggest injustice in the history of the Champions League. Not one, not two, not three but 4 cast iron penalties not given. Still rankles with me.
