cant speak for Chelsea although did go for a season but went to upton park this year And a great evening apart from the result, Aways are always better
Last time we played Chelsea in 98 it was the same thing. 600 CPH fans outsang the Chelsea crowd. It's sad but true. But hey, we see the same thing at home. It's just the way it goes unfortunately. Nice game by the boys, looking forward to the Brøndby match on Sunday. Hopefully it will be lively one.
I can't wait for the football bubble to burst, and it will do. Then clubs will be begging us to go back and it will be all the sweeter to tell them to fuck right off.
People have been waiting for the bubble to burst for ten years plus. It shows no sign if happening, just a newer breed of 'customer' is taking over. they're welcome to it
I used to go to the home games regularly but tend now to just do the away games, paritcularly in Europe if I can get the time off. Always a better dayout. At the bridge I just get frustrated with with the home fans, especially when you see the away fans out singing you. Boils my blood sometimes when you see what has happend to the place. I recall a couple of seasons ago a group of people sat in the Shed upper moaning at the Chelsea for being boreing.. we were 4 0 up! The last home game I went to was Cardiff in the cup last year. Which was a dissapointment (apart from the result).I was really looking forward to it especially as they were coming down in large numbers. It should have been a great atmosphere between both fans but was mostly one way. Agree that being out of the Champions league for a couple of seasons would be good for the atmosphere at the club. Get rid of some of these plastics but then I don't expect the prices would come down anyway. Plus we would get some quality away trips in..... Hate to sound negative about this but it seems to be the price you pay for success.
Didn't it kick off with Cardiff , a few lads getting sent down off both sides just lately .
Yes. Some very harsh sentences handed down. One Cardiff chap with no previous got 18 months for throwing a cone. Fucking outrageous. The sentences handed out to football lads are completely ott, especially when you see some heinous crimes by comparison get pathetic sentences, suspended sentences or community services.
18 months thats a shocker the problem is it has put loads off as we all know now its probably not going to be a fine and a slap on the wrist. We just had a few sent down for a little row in Cheltenham. Absolutely gutted for em when you think some filthy dirty scumbag can burgle some poor old oaps house and because he has a habit its all tears and sympathy, Country has gone to the dogs im afraid,
The atmosphere with cardiff was strange. Eeerily quiet, everyone was itching to get outside i think. Add to the fact it was an early kick off, chelsea home games are shit. Even today had a poor atmosphere, but city were shit an all.

"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
When we beat united a couple of weeks ago that was probably the best atmosphere this season so far. Like you say mark, too many people who just want to sit and watch the game in peace and quiet.
This basically happend to our ground too. Were now 5th in the league in Holland, but usually we were up to regulation... There goes your fantastic atmosphere and fucks it up for people like us...
to be fair chelseas atmosphere when we played them a few weeks ago was loud for the ladyboys first game the ground was rockin against us but then again it was quietened lata ha!
wbacph, is that a Hamburg Chosen Few banner in the Copenhagen end?
