Me and the old man are planning on going to Dublin before the beginning of next season as Leeds Utd usually do a tour of Ireland pre-season.
So was just wondering what and where would be interesting places to visit, now we are already visiting the Guinness storehouse of course as it is the main tourist attraction in Ireland..., but was just looking for heads up to be honest..

Know it's clichèd but a trip to the Guinness hq at St James Gate is well worth a trip. Would also recommend a tour of Croke Park if you're into history. I'd give the open top bus tour a swerve and go about things independently.Dublin oozes history, places to go and so on so you can do without the constrictions of organised tours. Feel free to pm me with any questions anytime Liam. Make sure you've plenty of Euros because Dublin is one bastard expensive place.
Visited Dublin last autumn for one day and one night (we went on to Belfast the day after). City is quite nice, lots of this tourist stuff to do. Booze in temple bar was great but fuckin expenisve We walked in a pub which was full of bloody drunken american girls, which was definitely a good choice ...
one of my favourite places...its minty but not that bad imo,,,when i go i like to booze all day, then booze all night and repeat for as many days as im there for....some great boozers on the side streets just outside city centre/temple bar
drink the black stuff its the best you will ever taste, only ever done stag do's there so thats all i've ever done really is drink, but they are good pubs
My memory is a bit hazy but I'm convinced that I wandered down a dodgy looking side street and got in a lift. The doors opened and we stepped out into an unbelievably lively nightclub.
Also, when you're there you can't go wrong with sampling a nice 16 year old Black Bush....the Bushmills brewery is somewhere round there.
I'd recomend the bus trip (the one you can get on and off). Having spent 6 weeks nearly every summer at my Nan's in Dublin when growing up I was astounded at how little i knew about the place when me and the wife went over for a weekend. But to be honest and no offence to the Irish lads on here, there are much better places in Europe to visit. Oh and althought the Guinness is top, there are some erally nice stouts to be had over there (almost in the equivalent of our Real Ale pubs).
