I hate it. Costs me a fucking fortune. Boss thinks he is doing me a favour by giving me pissy little jobs that take 5 minutes to do but you can book 3 hours against them and all there is to do is surf the net looking for things I want to buy. No other fucker about either so you can't even get a laugh. Anyone esle work shiteshift?
I'm not really sure of all this pressure, I'm never gonna lose any of my old letters, 'Cause they'll stay with me, Until I can see that I'm no one
Not a big fan of nights and have 5 coming up this week, have had to stop in a lay-by before as i've clipped the kerb nodding off a couple of times driving home in the morning
I used to work nights regular when I worked on the ferries - used to pull a week of them - one shift came off at 9.30am and a pub was discovered that opened at 10.00am (back in the day) so that was that sorted. Used to get arseholed till 1.00pm then hit the hay and up for 9.30pm to go on board for 10.30pm.
For the record I still hate them, they aint natural...

So you used to work pulling on a ferry during the night then getting aresholed? A lot of lonely lorry drivers were there?
yeah i do nightshift ( on it the now) week nights and a week of days...Mon-wed 12hr shifts...Used to like nights done it for 9 years constant but now i hate it with a passion and would love to be constant days again.
Only one more night for me. Thank fuck. Costing me a fortune. Nowt to do but surf the net. Currently trawling eBay for lenses for me DSLR. Fancy a 50mm f1.4.

Been doing it for years, fuckin hate it but the extra shift pay makes a hell of a difference. No supervision on nights which is a bonus but gets tiring and tedious at this time of the morning. Long for the day I can afford to go on days and not live like a mole

*I'm in teacher mode -
Mr Watts this effort is frankly dismal, as an effort of humour i've not seen the like in many a year, to even associate it with the word humour is stretching its comediec limitations to the limit.. See me, detention, cane, your a twat etc etc etc.
i do fortnight about, would rather do constant nights to get a pattern goiung, spend half my life not knowing if im coming or going......some might say i was like that anyway
Anybody else eat bloody loads on nights? Got another 6 hours to go and eaten loads already, only have a handful of cashew nuts and a bit of shephards pie left
Nah I eat less than normal on nights and I'm not a big eater as it is. I'm off them now and have got the next bit of nightshift I hate now. The changeover. Stayed awake until 21.30 and went to bed thinking I had it cracked and woke up at 00.30. Pish

I hardly eat on dayshift but eat like a pig at every break on nightshift...lol. On nights right now and so far tonight
break #1 Chicken ariabieta pasta and 2 slices buttered bread break #2 2 steak pies and 2 pieces of shortbread break # 3 still to come - oh what to have...lol
Put on loads of blubber when I first went on nights, eating is the only thing to look forward to. Luckily pulled back from the obesity brink just in time
