Just ordered a couple of tickets for the womens beach volleyball for me and the other half. (She dont know yet!). Only 20 notes each aswell and being held outside Earls Court.
Should be a good crack (Literally) and a excuse to stay drinking in London.

I thought I heard that the beach volleyball was going to be on Horse Guards Parade?
are they all being held in london?
Not all no. The sailing is on the South coast, they have purpose-bulit a canoeing venue outside London somewhere and the rowing is also outside London I think.
going to try and get tickets for the boxing and possibly some of the cycling events. Should be a good few weeks but not something I'd be too inclined to pay a lot of cash for :tightcunt:

Pretty sure the sailing is at Weymouth. Not much of a spectator sport though and Weymouth is 2 hours for me. Quite fancy London for a nosey but wouldnt go OTT paying for tickets either.
It's a ballot system. So you register, then apply for the events you want, then it's pot luck if you get any. I'm not sure what would be worse, getting none, or getting all that you've applied for and having to re-mortgage the house to pay for them

But if they could have managed to get the sailing within the M25 they would have. I bet they're gutted they couldn't make it totally Lon-doncentric. I wouldn't walk to the foot of my stairs for a ticket.
Why (openended question) Ok I make it more specfic, not on your nelly, never ever, prefer to watch in 3DHD or whatever the latest tripe is nowadays. If I catch any of it, it will be by pure coincidence......
without meaning to sound like a complete cynic.. i'd rather be spending my money down the pub, on new clothes, or a wee pre season jaunt to see Celtic. Sure the lads who have tickets will enjoy it, but its not what i'd be spending my money on.
