We welcome a prolific producer from Spain to The Poeticast this week, he goes by the alias of Chewy Martins.

Born on the tropical coast of Granada Jose Luis Martin (Chewy Martins), the Dj and producer began his career in the electronic scene.
Since a young age he was related to the world of DJs and electronic music, He started his first mixes with techno and break beat and now has his own productions encompassing Hardgroove techno.

Part of the event promoters of The Sound Beach Club where he is a regular but displaying the more forceful and current Tech-House style genre.

Chewy has played live at venues such as Penelope Lounge (Madrid), Sala Kalamazoo (Galicia) , La Zona (Vigo),
Summer Tech (Portugal) Sala Oxido (Guadalajara) Le club (Alcala de Henares).

He has featured on lineups with such artists as Chris Liberator, Omega Drive, Goncalo M, Pepo, Ruben Martinez, Hardell and more celebrated artists of the electronic scene.

In 2013 he created the seal Slippers Records. Slippers Records is a Spanish stamp in their genres mainly includes Tech-Tribal, Tech-House, Deep-Tech and House.

And in 2014 he created the label Psychodelik Records.
Psychodelik is a new techno label created by producer Chewy Martins a stamp for fans of techno and new techno promises.

Spanish Psychodelik Records is a label with a style that includes mainly techno and Hardtechno. The idea is to combine in their references to the new talents of the scene with other famous artists of the world scene.

Pulse one is an alter ego of Emanuel Peralta, the Buenos Aires native and Techno enthusiast. This Argentinian musician started his ascent into techno music at the tender age of 19, he was heavily influenced by a vast array of legendary Techno artists and DJ's including Jeff mills, Exium, Oscar Mulero, British Murder Boys, Dasha Rush, Alva Noto, Aphex Twin, Plastikman and many other artists. After a fortnight hiatus The Poeticast returns with a brilliant Guest Mix from Dublin's Simon Foran. Simon had his debut EP released on Dream mode in 2014 and is a regular on Ireland's Techno scene. With future productions forthcoming, Simon Foran is a name to look out for in 2015.

Welcome back to The Poeticast, as the summer builds up nicely and festival season is in full swing we find ourselves back in Berlin as Guest Mix duties are handed over to the mercurial Luke Stunt this week.

Fresh from an appearance at an underground Berlin festival last weekend, Luke Stunt offers a glimpse into his mysterious world of Techno with an hours mix of Dark, intense sounds that have characterized the ascent of his reputation on the Berlin Techno scene.

The atmosphere of his sound mirrors the enigmatic mask in which he appropriates, in his productions, mixes, and live performances.

The Poeticast returns this week with a very special Guest Mix, Moteka supplies the Techno for Episode 101.



Moteka is a former member of psytrance project Principles of Flight, Pierre's latest solo project, Moteka focuses on a dark, raw and hypnotic techno.



He has had releases on major labels including Flash, GND, Children of Tomorrow, Paranoid Dancer, Among, Herzblut, Select Case, Gatspiel and Skryptom.

Raw, Hypnotic, analogue can be used to best describe Moteka's sound, with deep ambiances of imaginary new worlds.

Moteka's first solo project was an acclaimed release on Stephan Bodzin’s Herzblut in 2013, and a steady stream of releases since have established Moteka as one of France's most exciting Electronic music artists.

The Poeticast is back this week and is proud to present Yuka to the podcast with a Guest Mix of seismic proportions.

Yuka is a female DJ now based in Moscow (where she has lived since 1998), but who began her career in distant Bratsk, Siberia. The town - a local industrial center - is probably more famous for what it dumps than what it makes; in the recent past it was listed as one of the thirty most polluted cities in the world. It wouldn't take much persuasion for someone to move on... Yuka's preparation for a shift to the capital's nightclubs was lengthy, however, since music had played an important role in her life since the age of 6.


Over time, her passions moved in the direction of painting, sculpture, and design - activities she continues to this day. That initial school-day enthusiasm at the piano would eventually win out, though, and dictate her choice of higher education. Her musical training thus led to a degree from the Irkutsk Arts Institute, where she no doubt studied under her real name, Irina Solbutova.

Now that she's fully ensconced in Moscow, her music appears regularly through the outlets of three labels: Fullpanda, Pro-Tez. That latter orgniation has also created a series of podcasts in her name for free downloading. The opening broadcast came with a small text that moves swiftly from imaginative fancy to absolute fantasy. In English it reads as follows: "All musicians can be compared to bird-catchers, especially those hunters who'd go looking for songbirds. Some of them would search for a particular type: a nightingale or a lark, perhaps. Others, conversely, would hunt nothing but exotic birds. Once they were caught, the birds would be kept in cages made from sheet music or boxes cut from concert programmes."

This tendency towards the ornate and magical is a marked facet of her work. When it come to drinks, however, she's a little more straightforward.

The Poeticast welcomes Italian Techno artist Dorian Gray to the podcast for Episode 118.

Dorian Gray (aka Moreno from Italy) takes his name from the infamous Oscar Wilde character who trades his soul for an eternal life of sinful debauchery. And indeed the heady world of underground club music can sometimes feel like this! The intensity of this dark concept is expertly weaved into the deep techno sound of Dorian Gray where Moreno keeps a strong focus on meticulous ambient loops moving into hypnotic techno rhythms. Moreno’s early influences hark back to the dark electronic 80s new wave sound but there are also jazz influences which have helped him coin the descriptive term of “afro-futurist techno”. Production work aside mainly with the note label Circular Limited, Dorian has received high accolades from artists such as Edit Select & Cio D'Or and he firmly states that his first love is DJing where he continues to push forward, proving his talent through various booking across Europe, in his native Italy and trips to his home from home, Berlin.

Spanish Techno extraordinaire Pushmann lays down the mix for Episode 130 with a recording live from his set at Limite, Tarazona Spain last week.

After a decade of incessant and persistent work-in clubs all over Spain, Victor M- -has become one of Spain’s top DJs and producers -whose influences have been hip-hop, funk and the house, among other styles. Pushmann, delivers techno for the mind body and soul.

In his new project PUSHMANN produces a Detroitesque sound with clear and strong influence of European sound, Berlin and Birmingham. His imaginary sound is based on the fast-paced, industrial and mechanical high-octane techno. In his classic genre he delivers raw goodness to intrigue the listener and take him or her to a higher level. Power, darkness and fierceness serving the dance floor. His special attention and taste for metallic percussion and steel cavernous drums well located in front of everything, almost martia, or warlike. Also draw attention to their surgical and haunting melodies, looped and accelerated to paroxysm. Sophisticated bestiality that stuns and spreads like wildfire.

As a DJ, this self-confessed lover of vinyl-and three deck performances- enjoys a refined technique after many years of selecting only the best techno, house and ghetto-techno- sessions defined as strong, energetic and vibrant. He has performed at national clubs of Florida 135 as well as Reset- and has shared the stage with artists of the stature tech capital of his admired Ben Sims or The Advent, Angel Molina, Eric Sneo, Fatima Hajji, Ken Ishii, etc.
