It seems there is a what appears to me, A unhealthy appetite among certain threads. I would hope we can discuss this as a board and continue going in a direction we want without all the generalisation of certain clubs etc. Yes many of us have evolved around football and it is part of culture but I would kindly ask if you feel your passion is steering you away from what the threads are about then please refrain or move it to pm. We regard ourselves on our content and dont want people to stop the banter or even talk about football, I just dont want things turning into my firms harder than yours, he knows my uncle sisters brother, or we did you back in the 80's and anything along those lines, Im sure you will agree and if not, lets talk about it here, This board thrives on banter and opinions but its knowing when to contribute, I admire members openness on here, but question the moral sometimes, I thank you and if you dont agree then please pm me or other admin...
No probs J. I certainly aspire to keep my football related talk/banter appropriate for the board. As I said to Jonah, I think one thing that sets here apart is the ability for 99% of the board to 'know the line' on a thread (football or otherwise) - which means things nearly police themselves much of the time in this respect. I really don't see the point in people discussing 'firms' anyways when everyone knows Chelsea were the hardest .....seriously though, good call. Keep football threads to football matters
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
Well said Ja and same goes for sarcastic and completely unoriginal comments in threads were people asks for other members opinion on something, it gets very very tiring to look at.
The category of the prosumer commodity does not signify a democratization of the media towards participatory systems, but the total commodification of human creativity
Funny that you have brought this up as i've been thinking the same myself over the last few days. I've often pondered over posting in these threads then thought to myself "why fuel the fire"
I'm glad its being addressed as these type of debates are the first signs of a forum going down the pan - besides, my mobs never been done.......,
"If you have friends like mine, raise your glasses. If you don't have friends like mine, raise your standards."
"one thing that sets here apart is the ability for 99% of the board to 'know the line' on a thread (football or otherwise) - which means things nearly police themselves much of the time in this respect"
Now to weed out that 1% of cunts who seem to think smart alec comments, bullshit beef and petty digs are the way forward.
Why o why ? do they bother in even typing half the garbage..... been reading and following some of these so called threads which has been giving me a right good giggle..... in the patheticness off it.... As Loco said I've often pondered over posting in these threads then thought to myself "why fuel the fire" and i bet i`m not the only one who has thought the same as you fella !!! If your still active keep it where the fuck it belongs for a saturday afternoon or midweek bit of fun..... As like many on this board been there done it left it behind now, dont want the shit in my face (and i`m sure others dont) anymore specially on the 1st and only forum i`m part off...... here for a bit of banter and clothes not to listen to complete wankers dribble shit !!! So on that score fair fuks to all the admin and mods (arseholes lol)
Well put as always ja, love my club but not into all that bollocks my firm this and we've done this, to old for that now so tend to avoid the whole disscusion, behind you.
Yip if all folk have to contrbute is pish about football hooliganism and smart arse comments on nearly every thread they comment on then they should be warned and then told to do one. All my opinion of course.
I'm not really sure of all this pressure, I'm never gonna lose any of my old letters, 'Cause they'll stay with me, Until I can see that I'm no one

The same also applies for peoples comments when someone blurs out their face. Not everyones willing to have their mug plastered all over an open forum. Esspecially if they like the odd bit of bother on a weekend.
But i agree, keep the forum purely clobber. Leave the hooli talk for ITK and the spastic talk for Osti archive.
