What mags do you read lads.....apart from jazz mags and other filth.......i used to be an avid Face reader but since its demise ive never really found much to get me buying it regularly.....looking for something in the same vein obviously...a blend of style...street culture etc etc....not interested in the likes of loaded and all the other lads mags and also not into anything that takes itself seriously like wallpaper etc.....so what would you fine gents suggest ????
I don't read mag's as such but I get the odd publication, not quite a book but good coffee table fodder is The Inventory, a half decent read, nothing new but still a good read, and I've tried a few Japanese mag's just for browsing through, Free & Easy & Lightning
[quote="David.Watts"] I read The Face from '84 until its demise.
I read Arena from issue 5 (1987) until its demise.
And Jack (a James Brown publication) from issue 1 until it's demise.
I daren't read another magazine. I seem to have a bad effect on them!

Now thats what i call Jazz.....haha....yeah i was gutted when the Face rudely ceased to exist...no hint of a warning either....damn you emap...i may have a look at I.D and Esquire.....make a change from Stuff.
I used to do some work for jack. It was a great mag, its problem was that while it's readers loved it there weren't enough of them. I don't read any mags now except supplementsmin the papers. Esquire was good for a while when Greg Thimbu was editing it, really different and funny
I dont regularly buy a magazine, on a weekly/monthly basis but i pick up Inventory, Fixed, Manzine, and Proper when i can but i mostly do online reading.
Yeah Jack was alright at the time, shame it folded.
I like Mens File a lot, Its the only one I look forward to each issue, it just seems to offer something a bit different to the content you've mostly already seen on the internet http://www.mensfile.com/ for a flick through the latest issue. Except for Mr Watts, its not your cup of tea mate, you wouldnt like it..leave em alone you harbinger of doom
Inventory. I was also impressed with the first issue of the green soccer journal. I was also a committed jack reader. In fact that was the last magazine of it's type I would buy religiously. Seems really good magazines are at premium now sadly.
I'm not really sure of all this pressure, I'm never gonna lose any of my old letters, 'Cause they'll stay with me, Until I can see that I'm no one
