It's a slow, painfull to watch game, played by boring people who are not good enough to participate in any other 'sport'............did i really call it a sport. A game we like to think were good at but we're shite! The object of the game is to see who can score the most 'runs',................who cares?

There is nothing better than a day at a test match in the middle of a compelling match. And getting fucking shit faced and taunting Aussies.

I will be in the Eric Hollies on that day, 16 of us converging from Sheffield and Manc plus a couple of stragglers from London. Have at least one day out at the test every year, fucking brillaint.
I play myself and could quite happily sit and watch cricket all day evey day. No live streams for me at work and no radio so it's all about cricinfo and guardian OBO and down the alehouse at dinner for an hour's worth. Have even got the point now where I've got cricinfo on for ball by ball county championship action, perhaps taking it a bit too far there.....
I know very little about cricket, although I love going down and watching a few mates play on a Saturday afternoon. Few beers on the pavilion. Mega civilised.
I think Sri Lanka just caved to the nature of the weather, the pitch was all over the shop, low bounce, even bounce and Swann was on fire...perfect off cutters.
