I think he will get you back in the premiership but a manger always needs time to settle, can see the fans getting against him if things don't go your way straight away.
Wasn't really liked by our fans but i rate him for the money we had he got us in the position he could.
His football is shit but he'll get them back to the PL and keep them there which is what they want. It's fine having a manager that plays shit football but you're winning but atrocious when you're not.
Not sure he'll fit in at West Ham at all. Huge problems behind the scenes at that club and Allardyce does not fit the mould of a typical West Ham boss - Greenwood and Lyall spring to mind immediately. Early results will be paramount as to how much (and indeed if) the fans accept him.
Has a good old opinion of himself too does Sam. Used to say if he was called Allardyci he's be in the frame for the big jobs, has questioned whether the Newcastle job was actually big enough for him, said he'd win the league year after year if he was Real Madrid boss. And next season he'll be managing against Peterborough.
Personally a great appointment Id hate Sam at us and hes burnt my head out at anfield for constantly crying and bitching but hell get West Ham back up and make them a solid team in the prem again
Interesting appointment imo and as already said in earlier posts one who's used to working with little or no budget and to be fair to him has been successful doing so therefore he should fit right in! Personally I think the club is deep in the shit and I would like nothing more than those two gobshites to clear off with their Biatch but can't see that happening so all I can hope for is the trio will keep their gobs shut for a few months at least. The Manager can only work with what he has got at his disposal and I think there needs to be wholesale changes on the playing staff front to stand any chance of a quick return but time will tell.............
think the biggest problem is none of the current west ham squad are big sam style players so he's either going to have to compromise his system or try and bring in a raft of new faces. I think in time he'll get results but if he gets off to a bad start I can't see the wankers in charge being too lenient or understanding and as mentioned above his character won't allow him to be pushed around by that poisonous slag Brady.

Quite an uninspired appaointment. He'll do a job and make them hard to beat and get them promoted and make them hard to beat in the prem but wouldn't expect great things from this. As for brady. I'd push it in that poisonous slag.
I'm not really sure of all this pressure, I'm never gonna lose any of my old letters, 'Cause they'll stay with me, Until I can see that I'm no one

I wonder who could work with no money, play like Barca and win the Prem in a few years or at the very least the FA cup and qualify for Europe?
No one on this planet so what do fans really expect now and in the future. Unless a multi billionaire buys the club I really think the expectations of the fans is totally unrealistic and a few need to have a reality check. Not just at West Ham but a lot of other clubs. Most of us now are there just to make up the numbers.
