The Irish don't count as platics. That was aimed at the Liverpool 'fans' from the Rhondda that watch from the pub when they have a decent local team 10 miles down the road.
Cardiff and Swansea average a minimum of 18,000. Compare that to the 6,000 the regions get. Rugby is nothing but an event in Wales. An excuse for middle aged slags to wear pink cowboy hats and get smashed.
It really is a myth that rugby is the national sport of Wales.

Isn't the flipside that the Welsh rugby side get 80,000 for almost every game whereas the football team struggle to fill their ground unless it's against a really big team.

I'd like to see how much the rugby team would get if they played Montenegro! They fill the rugby stadium a few times a year for the 6 nations and if they play a test against the top southern hemisphere sides. Having said that, I was there myself last November for the game against Australia and there was 30,000 empty seats. And, as hinted at in the video, the 6 Nations is as much about a day out and an entertainment event (and dare I say it class) and it is about sport.
I'm not from Wales but more people play football in Wales than play rugby and week after week more people watch it too. Strong argument to say the national sport of Wales should be football. Have this discussion regularly with the local rugby tossers!

Good points, I'm just being trying to play devil's advocate for the sake of argument

Plastics dont even deserve to talk to these fans never mind take the piss . They are the proper fans who wholeheartedly deserve credit. They ARE football .
