Been working in this hell hole all week - most mental place I've ever been to - Traffic is unbelievable, travelling 2 miles can take an hour in a car. People are like slaves, not had to pick up anything since being here, called sir all the time and basically treated like royalty... Really hard to come to terms with, I'm a pretty soft guy and far from racist...
Being taken out to the best places to eat every night with £50+ meals the norm'. "Had to" go to some lapdancing joint Tues...The place was wild, all hands on with extras round the back. £4 a dance !!!! full on man !! Some gorgeous local girls with amazing bodies, none of this silicon spearmint rhino fake s**t. Disease is rife here so no further for me but expats are shagging these lot every night for peanuts :-) This one asked me to buy her a drink so the bloke I'm with just pushes her away by the face and tells to f off. Said she was dissrespecting me... Gotta feel sorry for 'em... Feeling bad today :-( Just thought I'd share this with you lot as feeling homesick now - back home Sunday after 8 days full-on working, can't wait to see my girls and tell them how lucky they are to live in the UK.
No mate, the next biggest thing here - generators, mine are all running on gas... Some serious cash to be made here if you've got the balls to live here for a bit. People are either stinking rich or have fook all. It's funny as fook seeing all the airline crews being driven from the airport to the hotels with a police escort. Most people just stay in the hotel afraid to venture out, I've been taken all over the place. Been offered a job with loads of loot and arrangements for a "nanny/housekeeper" to be sent to live with my Mrs and kids :-) Too old for that now me, missing wearing a nice jacket too :-)
Nice one, guess a lot of folk wouldn't have the bottle to head out into the unknown like that. Got to say the thought of going somewhere like Nigeria and trying to earn some coin does really appeal, undoubtedly a lot of money to be made and some experiences to be had. Were you sent over by work or is it somewhere that you've gone on your own accord?
Yes mate - work placement to commission some gen-sets and training for the locals etc
Phil, yeah defo not waving anything tempting as it is ... You can't beat that ass jiggling thing they do where the whole body is still but the cheeks shake like a bastard...

Sounds like a hell of a place, a bit like the Wild West.

Worked in Africa . Can be a very scary place to be . Horrific seeing people with not a pot to piss in , whilst Govt and their band of merry men fine dine . Lads I worked with , bar a few , were superb , friendly - always happy - good lads . Definately not somewhere to go bare-back either .....
