So I'm finally getting round to putting together my surround sound thing (technical term). When I decorated last year I channeled in some speaker wire from the tv round the room in the skirting board. Now I've got a panasonic home cinema system and need to wire up the rear speakers to the wire that's already there.
What's the best way of doing this? Want to avoid soldering. Can you just strip the cables with a Stanley knife and connect them with choc blocks? Twist together and cover in electrical tape?
Well as I'm an impatient barstard I ended up just stripping the wires with scissors and twisting together. Bit of leccy tape and seems to be working a treat. Not sure how long for though
