Had an incident at work today in the works canteen at breaktime regarding the game, giving a Man U "fan" a bit of good natured banter the cunt could not take it & started making personal insulting comments towards me.Had to restrain myself from punching him.The funny thing is he`s never been to a game in his life & also admitted he did not watch the game last night.Always comes in on a monday morning moaning about the ref! As my boss said cunts like that are not worth the bother.I know a few Man U fans who are good lads & go to games so i`m not saying they are all like this prick i work with.
Exactly the same scenario where I work. All experts on the game, all 'true' United fans and have been to Old Trafford approximately 10 times between them. First ones to start harping when someone else's team has lost or going through a bad patch but first to start blaming everything and everyone else when they get a dodgy result.
Typical really, but then all the Manchester United / City jokes that have been going around today have certainly shut them up for a change, they're certainly not as smug as before.

Really hope this is the demise of United. All Man Utd fans claim they love to be hated. Why do they always bite to the bate then?
No one is biting about football banter and piss-taking about results? I find it a bit sad though when people celebrate players getting bad injuries, especially when the team they support has had a few bad ones in recent times. Not to mention that the team they support are not even rivals of United.
Like most United fans , first to dish it out almost arrogance but when time to take a bit of stick/banter can't hack it. As for Vidic ligament damage might be out for couple of months hardly career threatening injury. No where near what ramsay and Eduardo suffered.
As for rivals - best both teams can achieve this season will be top four, so would you not say that makes The Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Man United rivals as at least one is going to miss out on a top four finish as think Man City will coast the League.
Well, I tell them there's no problem Only solutions

I dish it out on here? Care to show me when? And like I said, banter and piss-taking is water off a ducks.
Right, so unless it's a year out it's fine to celebrate a players injury? Is there some kind of official scale so we know when it's alright? Utter drivel.
Rivals for a trophy are not automatically rivals. There is a distinct difference.

I know where you're coming from Andy. I don't consider United to be Chelsea's rivals in the same way I would QPR, West Ham, Tottenham even fucking Leicester for some reason seem to get under our skin for as long as I can remember. I'm not sure the other Chelsea bods on the forum would agree with me. Our most recent rivalry has got to be Liverpool which seems to have evolved from mutual respect to downright hatred over the past decade.
That said, there was once an excellent thread on the United forum, 'Red Issue' when Chelsea were getting panned for a perceived lack of history (which is of course bullshit) and a very knowledgeable United fan wrote an excellent piece about the history between United and Chelsea over the period 1955 (6-5 at the Bridge when the son of an Irish cattle dealer called Seamus O'Connell scored a hat trick for Chelsea and still ended up on the losing side. - (One of the last amateurs (if not the last) to win a Championship medal) all the way to Bobby Charlton's last game for United which was at the Bridge and how all the games in between were seen as a kind of 'classico' by both sets of supporters. I just thought to myself, fair play to you.

I don't believe in dignity in losing .. It has to hurt , it has to feel so bad you feel totally gutted , that way you build a defense mechanism , and a desire to never lose , win at any cost , play till the final second ..
Ferguson is the greatest manager in my time , one of the all time greats .. sore loser , or total desire to always win ?

Think your getting mixed up with rivals and rivalry.

Quote by VasqueVidic out for the season. Looked like a bad one straight away.
That is shit. Was really enjoying how competitive the season was so far.
I think Vidic will be a big blow.
Don't like seeing the best clubs losing their best players due to injury or underperforming (Torres at Chelsea, Carrol Liverpool etc) as surely we all watch football for entertainment?

TBH, when my team used to be poor I was happy to see players sent off or injured for when they played us.
It wasn't jealousy purely knowing it was our best chance of not being beat and helping us survive.
Nowadays I want every game 11 v 11 and the full strength squad available for all games.
On behalf of Darren Fletcher, Manchester United wishes to announce that he is taking an extended break from football for health reasons.
Over the past year he has had several absence periods which we have attributed to a viral illness in order to respect his right to medical confidentiality. Darren has, in fact, been suffering from ulcerative colitis (a chronic inflammatory bowel condition) for some time preceding this.
Whilst he was able to maintain remission of symptoms for a considerable period this has proved more difficult recently and Darren’s continued desire to play and his loyalty to both his club and country has probably compromised the chances of optimising his own health and fitness.
He has therefore accepted medical advice to take an extended break from the demands of training and playing in order to afford the best chance possible of achieving full remission once again.
We request that his privacy is respected and hope that the removal of the additional stress associated with speculation regarding his health will also aid his recovery.
So the rumours of Crohns disease were not true but this disease is similar. No wonder he lost so much weight and has struggled for the past 18 months or so. Feel for the lad and I'm not sure he'll ever be able to fulfill his true potential unless he can get this under total control.
