To be fair to AVB he's been brought in and don't think he is ready for such a job. Probably one of the highest pressure manager jobs in English possibly European football. Up there with the Real Madrid job. Expected to win titles and cups every season playing an attacking flowing style of football and if you don't your sacked. Personally think Chelsea are going to have to go through a transitional period that could last a few years getting rid of the Old Guard of JT, Lampard, Drogba, Cole and the like. Abramovich has no patience and appears he is still dictating who the club signs. Heard AVB quoted as saying Cahill was a club signing.
Well, I tell them there's no problem Only solutions

if Chelsea dip out of the glorious top four this year itll be interesting to see what happens next. Liverpool-clearly a much bigger club- have been quickly forgotten in champions league terms. it's accepted that they're not in it now. Chelsea's 'size' is built on straw. they can't afford to drop out if their 'big' club status is to last. interesting days ahead because another of the sky faces is going to miss out. man I hope it's arsenal

Clearly.....and given not even a dodgy lasagne should stop the yids makin top 4 his time, then one of us, arsenal or the 80 plus million spending bigger club will miss out. THankfully I'm one of those who is schooled in not expecting much having supported us from the div 2 days so this must be a far bigger concern for those who support that clearly bigger club
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."

Eh? Chelsea's 'size' built on straw? Interesting that a club built on straw are the the 5th best supported side in England of all time (despite being nowhere near as successful as the the other top supported size). Interesting that a club built on straw had already qualified for the new look Champions league twice before the Abramovich era - and that would be two times more than Everton had done in the same time!
And I'd be no lover of Arsenal but they are anything but 'sky faces' - they have a history so vast it would need Tolstoy to do it justice.
Lot of twists & turns yet in the race to finish in the top four.To say Liverpool are out of the running for a place in the top four is absolute rubbish.Granted they are struggling to score goals at the moment.Anyone out of Chelsea,Arsenal,Newcastle & Liverpool could finish in the top four.Would love Torres back at Liverpool always works hard.He & Suarez would be some partnership.
course they're a sky face. super sunday and all that shite. as for chelsea they were founded so the poshos had a team. and more power to them. all im saying is they'll be quickly forgotten if they dip out of the happy clappy places. in my opinion. i think you're getting upset about something that hasnt been said
agree , first between Manchester , 3rd Spurs's spot .. fourth gonna be one hell of a fight , CL where it's at .. Chelsea / Newcastle / Liverpool / Arsenal .

back in the day Everton were known as the 'Millionaires' club.....I'm sure there's the odd posho who attended Goodison now and again!
As for what will happen if and when Chelsea drop out of the top 4? We'll cross that 'Bridge' when we come to it...pardon the pun!
