About two months ago I ordered a record from a seller in Germany through the website discogs. As of 2 weeks ago, despite the seller telling me he'd sent it twice, nothing had arrived so I naturally filed a dispute. Since then the seller has sent the record and has provided notice of this/a tracking code. Despite this paypal have found in my favour and will be sending my cash back. How do I handle this? Should I wait and see if the record turns up (I'm not holding my breath despite the tracking code) and then refund the seller or should I get in touch with paypal's disputes dept and see what they have to say - my concern is he's sent me a tracking code for an order that isn't mine to cover his back or something.
If Paypal have found in your favour and the money returns to your account i'd leave it at that. I wouldn't contact paypal again it'll only complicate matters. If the record turns up and all is good...then it's down to your concience...I'd just pay the retailer again, bearing in mind it is tough trading out there at the moment and he might have already sent 2 records which didn't show...

Think that's the way to go. As far as him possibly sending two records already I highly doubt it: read through his feedback and seems he has a habit of taking weeks on end, plus I paid extra for insurance. Should really have looked before ordering mind!

^^ This. Even if you feel you've been messed around, keep your own side of the street clean; so to speak.

They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.
I still prefer to buy/play vinyl. I'm never going to be a superstar dj so have no need for the newest records/dubs, would much rather have something I can look at/enjoy the feel of
