How do you get on with the people you work with ? mine are quite a sound group of people but we have a real snotty nosed wanker who works with us, he runs the sales side of things...and he is so rude to us sometimes i just want to chin him! but I can't as he is the owners grandson!!!

Self employed so normally working with my mates, all on the same wave length so you have a good crack, mind you glad I wasn't working with me mate the other week ....he had to fend off some nutter with a sawn off shot gun who unloaded two shots in the house we were working at, the fella burst in looking for another bloke we were working for.....he fired one shot at him then chased him into the kitchen, where my mate was, as the fella came into the kitchen my mate grabbed him and they both wrestled the gun off him, the other shot went off and left a fucking whole in the kitchen wall, a bit bigger than a tennis ball, luckily no one was hurt!! then they politely asked him to leave (with a bit of help from a claw hammer) ! the police picked him up later. So the blokes I work with are all good and at least I know they've got me back if needed.........how was your day?

Where i used to work, the crowd was cracking, about 80/20 likeable/wankers I'd say.....Some incredible laughs and in all fairness it was a massive piss about. In the end i was doing the job for the fun rather than the money !! Was taking up lots of spare time and paying quite well !!.....Doubt ill ever have a job as easy again !!
Only been working 9 years. Worked with some proper characters and also some proper bellends. I was in a job for 4 years that paid shit and conditions weren't right cracking but 2 lads from the football worked there and spent most of the time talking about what had gone at weekend, clobber etc, was my worst job but best laugh.
I'm a overhead crane driver for a steelworks in the northeast so I work 12 hour shifts with the same 3 blokes doing a 4 on and 4 off system with 17 off every 7 cycles, all are sound as fuck but the youngest lad is a bit too hasty to get away from the job which means that the rest of us work 10 minutes over and tempers can flare due to pressure but it's all good fun and the 17 off is well needed.
Confusion in her eyes that says it all. She's lost control.....
I work offshore on a rig that normally has between 100 & 120 people on it. Tend not to mix too much with them at all - familiarity breeds contempt as they say. Definitely wouldn't socialise with them away from work either. I'd say that i get on with most & ignore the rest.
My gaffer who i share an office with is a decent enough fella for a bloke that buys 2 season tickets for Stamford Bridge & 2 for Ibrox every season, runs a Porsche, Mercedes & a big fuck off motor bike & at 57 year old is shagging a 27 year old bird!
But i'm not bitter.......,

Our are alright, office of 5 in a department of about 10. I never go out with them though, even at dinner time, that's my hour and I don't want to waste it on excruciating small talk. Alright to work with though

I'm the same. Amazing how pissed off some people get when you tell them you just want a bit of time to yourself to read the paper or have a coffee. "You're being a bit anti-social aren't you" No mate I'm not. I'm at work if I wanted to socialise with you I'd see you at the weekend or in the evening.
