Quote: Dempsey wrote in post #74Agree totally, when a player would rather play in front of 18000 instead of 52000 makes you wonder where the game is going, but Mike Ashley won't pay big wages and where now a selling club, that bloke has ruined Newcastle
Everyone sells if the price is right.
Is Ashley worse than the ones you had before who milked the club for all it was worth, he is a tit but are you not better off financially now.
John Hall and Freddy Shepherd both backed the managers, but Ashley is only interested in getting in young players and then selling for a profit ,we maybe better off financially but we have needed a centre back for 3 seasons now,and all the fans knew our squad wasn't big enough but we only brought one senior player in during the summer. We were very lucky last year as we didn't have many injures but this year is a different story.Pardew will come out and say we are trying and we are in for this player but nothing ever happens,he is Ashley's puppet.Ashley is making a fortune from Newcastle

That's one argument.
Or you could say the first two took a lot of money out of the club and made some very bad managerial appointments, they left you as a potential Leeds and the fat bloke put in a lot of his own cash to save you. He is a tit but he is a bit more savvy with his cash.
In my opinion you need to look at the players: one good season and they think they've made it, same as what happened with Dyer and co.
I've been very suprised at Newcastles decline this season , just out of the relegation zone , yet could easily have played CL football after last seasons success .. The lad Ba we got is a complete steal for what we paid ..

Hope you stay up.
We've got a good first 11 and we've been unlucky with injuries this season that's why we should of invested in the summer,Ben Arfa,Cabaye,Tiote,S Taylor,R Taylor,Collocini, and Jonas that's 7 first team players who would have been playing regular any team will struggle without a good squad Think the biggest mistake Freddy made was sacking Bobby Robson, then bringing in Souness,

Demba Ba will score for fun at Chelsea and you've got a bargain
Newcastle should have always been a selling club to begin with their not big enough to be anything else and as much as I dislike Ashley he is running the club well
Just because your a selling club doesnt mean you cant still have success

52k a game would suggest Newcastle are a decent size club. Jesus wept. As far as QPR go, it would definitely soften the blow them going down and not the villa. Villa more so though, ofcourse.
How do you get global support ? By winning trophies ? By selling your best players to make a quick million and not replacing those players you'll never win anything, like I said before Mike Ashley has ruined NUFC and is only interested in making money.
You don't have to have fans in china and indonesia to be a big club. To be honest i know of 4-5 newcastle fans in the black country area. I don't agree with it at all, support your local club in my opinion.
I had to laugh at him on SSN last night, turning up at QPR looking for a transfer, someone should have told him the clubs had called off the deal. Just shows you how much players will do for a few extra pennies in their bank account.
Quote: 1985casual wrote in post #92He was Blatently tapped up by QPR aswell, there's no way that would have happened if QPR hadn't promised him a pay rise over the past fortnight or so.
Exactly mate, as thick as he comes across theres no way he's drove all the way down to London in the hope of seeing Redknapp without some sort of dialogue taken place. I think Redknapp's too smart,( fuck me did I really type that Redknapp and smart in the same sentence, this is a man who can't read and write allegedly ) too get involved he would have got someone else to do the taping up. Odenwinge has made himself look a complete and utter plank, he's fucked at West Brom now, the players ain't gonna want to play with him and the fans are gonna be on his case. The thing now is what to do, if I were him the first thing i'd do would be sack his agent and come clean on the whole affair, oh and score a hat-trick a game till the end of the season, that may go a some way as saying sorry..............then fuck him off!
I don't. Understand his desire to leave a club that is having its best season ever , probably , to go to a shite small London club that gets max 18,000 , and looks destined for relegation with a Chairman that clearly wants out and 'Arry will run if they go down ,,,
It's all about money. Whispers about how much the QPR players are 'earning' will be rife amongst the mercenaries and they will be doing all they can to cash in.
You've got to feel sorry for the QPR fans and their somewhat naive owner. Throwing money at players that ain't gonna get them out of the shit, it'a job, a well paid one at that with no responsibilities, they can kiss the badge all day long, but in reality they are there simply for the money. As for putting Redknapp in charge, words fail me, he'll be taking a percentage of every player he buys, so the more he spends the more he'll pocket. He'll rape the club as he did at Portsmouth, then simply walk away and start afresh at another club!

Good old baggy chops couldn't lose in this job. Get relegated, not 'Arrys fault, they were doomed before he got there. Keep them up and he's a genius manager no matter how much he spent on transfers and wages.
As for Odemwingymabob. You're better off without the ungrateful cunt. I hate football.
