story today in one of the tabloids that guy and his son met Mohammed Ali at breakfast in a hotel. The Greatest, aside from signing anything they wanted, wrote the kid a note to give his Teacher to excuse him a day off school. how fucking good is that

so lads, any run ins with "celebs" - and we'll use the widest range of celeb for this- which had you smiling because they acted in a nice, positive way or did something cool/smart as fuck?

Razor Ruddock bought me and my mates a round in one of my regular haunts in London. He said he'd been in the same bar the previous night and some guys from a band called Radiohead were in. The guitarist (Greenwood I guess) was dancing on a table fell off and knocked some teeth out. Razor apparently had to throw him in an ambulance as he wanted to just carry on drinking whilst bleeding all over the place.
Not sure how much was true, but it was the type of place that could have happened and made for an entertaining tale

Oh and he was wearin Bermuda shorts and one of those baker-style hats at the time (sure it was November)

Was invited to the top room above a pub about 6 years ago to meet a somebody, upon my arrival I was delighted to see Mr Ray Winstone chilling.with.West Ham boys, his presence was enough for me. Sound geezer. Creamfields years ago who should walk by our car off her nut but Margi Clarke, my missis shouts her over and she gets in, shares our goodies , have a natter and missis turns rounds to her and blurts that I fancied her while we are watching some youths push a parked car into a ditch. Parties with both Bez and Shaun a few times. Very underwhelming experience, smoked crack with Bez and was disgusted with his behaviour luring young star struck fans, had a good 20 minutes in the garden that might with a tidy bird. In Ibiza watched some African dude surrounded by burly muscleheads and scantily clad birds dancing in Pacha VIP room. Turns out it's the prince of Nigeria hardly a celeb mind. DJd for.Mr C at his villa which he turned into a free club opposite Manumission. Met others in back rooms at gigs but are the stand out for me.

Except Rix knew she was under 16, he was a friend of the family and had been grooming her for a while. It isn't ok to ply her with drink and drugs, treat her like a piece of meat.

If the other staff knew her age then they should be ashamed of themselves.

He isn't really a 'nice bloke' is he then? 'Nice blokes' in their 40's don't have sex with 15 year olds.

Met Mani in the Arches in Glasgow one night,he bought me a beer and stuck me and 6 mates on the guest list for the next nights Primal Scream gig...also met Spider Nugent fae Coronation Street in London a few weeks ago but he never bought me a beer

Met the Beastie Boys when they were touring their CHECK YOUR HEAD album,,,, no as BEASTIE or BOYS as the name suggests ,, nice gentlemen ,, stuck us on their guest list for the remaining tour dates ,,,,, WHICH WAS NICE


and yesterday we were working on a house in Paisley ,, the customer was out but his neighbour , the ex forrest manager BILLY DAVIES , made us a cup of tea and a gave us RIVA RIVA biscuits,,,OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,WHICH WAS NICE

Not me but one of the boys I used to work with had an ace story about Rhys Ifans. His daughter had her 21st birthday party down a bar in Cardiff Bay. After about an hour Rhys Ifans walks in for a drink, sees the party and ends up staying with them all night. Paid for everyone's drink for the entire evening. Sounds like a top bloke.

Met loads of celebrities but one that sticks in my mind,,,,well he was a footballer, Anthony Gerrard, few Cardiff fans and probably a few huddersfield fans too on here, This was when he was at walsall, over summer i had a job at a family members carpet shop, he went to the barbers next door and i told the boss 'Thats anthony gerrard' I called him over and he came in and signed a framed Walsall shirt they had been given through a sponsership, we got talking and he was in for a good 5/10 minutes having a chat, He walked over to his car and said 'Have you got a ticket for tomorrow' to which i replied 'no' and he gave me one out of his car, Brilliant gesture and top bloke, something happened towards him at the end of his Walsall career where some fans had a go at him after a game in the car park. No need for that sort of stuff when he's got his wife and kids with him.

Nice gesture that. Most footballers are decent human beings, aren't they?

Used to follow Arctic Monkeys around Europe on their first couple of tours. So got quite a few tales from those happy days. Great times.
