I know this is a bit of a random thread but thinking about going for christmas. Has anyone been whats the best way to get there etc? Been to a travel agent today and of cause they put it all together for you and to be honest I got lost with all the different options, but it was about £2300 for it all and going by car on euro tunnel, so thats a 3 hour drive this side (bournemouth to dover) and I think about the same on tother (calais to paris) any advice would be great.
Me n our gertrude were having a look at the packages the otherday, looked at the half board and 25% off each adult, looked to stay in the park to take advantage of the few hours before it opens to the public. Also wanted to hear a few opinions before hand.
we have been quite a few times, always book flights/hotel seperately. Its never cheap though and the prices in the hotels are high but the kids love it so worth it imo. We went the week before xmas a few years a go, take your thermals it was fookin freezing

Shame that, mate. Me and my mates are going next september for 2 weeks, booking a few weeks before, wont be no more than £600 for the fortnight. Just the £1000 spending money that'll need saving for, hoping to go to miami for a day or two.
Book the Disney express on chunnel drops you straight outside, if your staying in the hotels (Newport bay is decent) book your food packages before u go, get in park early sort fast passes for busy rides and enjoy. Food in park not too expensive but restaurants in village just outside hideous money and the McDonalds there is chaos!
Be careful what you dream of it may come up and surprise you.
Don't do it we went there for new yr couple of yrs back faking freezing queues horrendous not quite the same when queuing in nice sunny warmer climate go to Florida mate 100 times better, thinking off heading there again next yr....
Nigh on two and a half grand sounds a bit steep. We went (albeit 10 years ago) and it was way cheaper than that.
What we did was book into one of their on site hotels. I think the deal was four nights for three or five for four or something. Drove down from the Northwest, through the tunnel, stopped in St Omer on the way down and Lille on the way back and extended it out to the full week.
We arranged the Disney hotels via Disney, then did everything else (tunnels, hotels) seperately. I know it was ten years ago, but ours was nowhere near what you've been quoted.
Top tips - take loads of money and be prepared to spend it all. They might as well tip you up by the ankles as you go in. Its that commercial. The food is pretty shit, and very expensive.
Also - even though you're just nipping across the channel, take out full travel insurance. Our lad came down with chicken pox the night before we were due to travel, so we had to cancel and do the whole thing again three weeks later. If only we'd opted not to have an excess on the policy as well.
And fill the car with cheap french plonk on the way back, obviously.
sorry should of said the price is for me , the wife and our 3 boys (13,10 and 2) and was looking at staying in the ranch thingy just outside, so we can have our own space.
I was at Disneyland Paris the day beckham got revenge over argentina in 2002. They announced the score over the tannoy in the queue for space mountain.
Been a few times and always stop at the Davey Crockett ranch. We've never paid more than a grand all in and there are six of us. Like most places you can probably double the price if you are going at Christmas. I'd go along with what most have said, the food is crap and expensive and it is fucking freezing. The merchandise is really expensive too, twice the price it is over here. It's much better to go at one of the theme times like Christmas. We went at Halloween once and it was great for the kids, they really go over the top.
