Interesting and funny extract from his biography in the Sunday Times today, is having a go that he should have been England captain for ten years (and FA is institutionally racist), Really rated the guy as a player but he never struck me as a great leader to do that job certainly not Butcher, Adams type character?

That sounds about right, he funnily calls it "An embarassment" when Michael Owen was given the captaincy at one point ahead of him. (Got a point to be fair).
