Right early October i'm off to the Crown Court*, any ideas on dress code, not keen in sitting there all day suited and booted, would rather wear something more comfortable...Anyone with any experience of a visit

Cheers P, that's what i'm worried about being comfortable when things aren't moving quickly...
Anyway doing some homework by watching Crimewatch, no tips on dresscodes as of yet though
I'd take some reading material or something to keep you occupied, if you don't get selected onto a jury you can be hanging around a very long time. Even if you're selected there's a lot of hanging about. Sessions rarely start before 10am (although you have to be there an hour before I think), stop for lunch then finish about 4ish and often before. Money for self-employed is shocking (about £60/day I think ?) Can be quite interesting and very different from erm....usual court experiences
Dress wise wear what you want within reason , completely different from being in the dock
Most trials don't last 2 weeks and they usually give you an estimate if/when you get selected but you could get 2 different trials

Cheers, done the....erm...usual court experience, albeit 20+ years ago and IIRC i didn't have a jury as it was the magistrates..
Some good info and yes for the self employed the money is shocking, but luckily i'm not in that boat
wear what you usually do mate. The other jurors will appreciate the humour
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
I ended up sat in the waiting room thing for two days then sent to Newcastle courts and sat there for two days then sent home and it was over... didnt even get put on a trial.
Waste of time really, I would just wear summit easy & comfortable cos ya only sat about all day anyway.
