Wrong time to sack him in my opinion. Heard whispers the writing was on the wall hence our lack of activity in the recent transfer market. He has made some shocking decisions this season but as the saying goes you can only work with the tools your given to work with.
Seems a bit knee jerk and harsh imho. Crazy time a week after the transfer window shuts. Really do wonder what world some of these Chairman/Owners live in particularly Gold & Sullivan at times!!
Im amazed at this i know theyve been leaking goals but they do score as well so will alwaz be in with a shout,,likw evryone has said what do chairmen expect, there are def three teams worse than them in that division..... PUSB
I wonder if this will still be in effect or as rigid?
"When Jeremy Peace, the WBA chairman, decided to create a post for a sporting/technical director there were bets being taken for how long Tony Mowbray, the manager at the time, would accept someone meddling in his affairs.
The position of technical director - even without the addition of "sporting" - has traditionally been viewed in England with an intense amount of suspicion and as a concept that simply does not work.
The continental system, which seems to function so well in Italy, Spain and Germany, does not seem to sit well with English clubs where managers like to be king and assume responsibility for all football related decisions.
So when Mowbray, before he eventually departed to Celtic, came out in support of the successful candidate for Peace's vacancy some months later it proved two things; Firstly, the former manager was far more broad-minded and open to suggestions than most of his Premier League colleagues, and two, Dan Ashworth, the person Peace eventually settled on for the role, was clearly going to be a huge asset at the Hawthorns............................continued"
Really fucked off to be honest, I felt he was taking us in the right direction in term's of playing football and could only see us improving, we've had a bad run but I don't feel like we've been playing poorly, there's not really a bad side this year compared to other seasons, everyones capable of beating each other and on our day we look fantastic, must be something deeper to this imo, just better beat those fucking wulfs next week now !!!
The Expendibles couldn't help Villa ffs.... a club dropping like an X Factor winners career.
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
