aup lads looking to get away to Cannaries next month for 10 days in the sun....normally we go to Lanzarote so fancy a change and always heard decent reports about this resort...any body give us any pointers...we prefer self catering as like to go out on a night for a wander and something to eat...and don't want to have more than a five minute walk to the bars/beech etc..thanks in advance!
Adeje we go each year there .. Most hotels are 5 star, restaurants are lovely .. Beach is bit naff, full of stones, mainly black sand .. We stayed at Vincci Planctacion ..
Went to Tenerife before Christmas but stayed Los Christianos and Americas, stayed at Adeje before and it was nice with loads of restaurants but think its more than five minutes walk?? Taxis are cheap though. If you can be arsed going to Americas there is a shop called "weekend" that had a decent sale on with Woolrich and BD Baggies shirts for about £24, none in my size though (large)
I've been, we stopped in the Royal Garden Villas. Had our own private suite with terrace and jacuzzi, the centre was down the bottom of the hill. Which is totally the opposite of what you want.
Been going to Adeje every year for about the last 15! Love the place. We stay at Iberostar Anthelia, stunning. Anywhere along Adeje/Fanabe and you'll be sound. If you have youngsters in tow I would also recommend The Sunwing Fanabe.
I stayed up the hill, kinda central, we walked every night to LaCaletta a fishing village about 25 mins coastal walk, Adeje itself isn't massive really, lovely new shopping centre, bars and restaurants are superb .. We've been about 7 times now, and in all honesty I wouldn't go anywhere else .. Good for all ages, no muppets, but lively in parts if that's what you want, or quiet as you want it ..

We regularly walk along to that bit of the beach in your photo with the mad piles of rocks. Reckon that is the best thing about the resort is the ability to walk miles in both directions stopping into a few bars en route of course. Bliss. Roll on 15th July.
