Don't listen to Tone mate. He's jealous you're fixing up your dream car whilst his mrs is selling his jackets
I will say though....there really is a boxset to fill voids....breaking bad....sons of anarchy.....the wire.....lying under or in a car sounds like a hard work to me..
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
Nope they've had it since September last year........and managed to complete 1 corner so far, i have a feeling i might not see it again ( apart from taking the engine and gearbox out for them ) until next year
No haven't been for a few weeks, been laid up chewing anti inflammatory and pain killing tablets, got another couple of weeks to go, then i'll be back on it

After a few months break to recover some funds, work has begun again. Almost there now. Back end rebuilt, they've now done the side sills inner and outer + ends. A and B posts, windscreen scuttle repairs and onto the inner wings with only the front chassis legs, front crossmember and respray to go. Just had a couple of weeks off to take the engine and gearbox to keep the costs down.

It is slightly more advanced than the pictures show S, doors are rehung although the bracing bars are still in situ, wings are still off and engine and box is out exposing the front chassis legs and crossmember, all the fabrication work should fingers crossed be done by the end of August if not sooner then i'm back to put the engine / box back in, and they've asked if i can put the tank back in for them to keep costs down. Then it's just the respray and finishing, i'm hoping i should have it back sometime October / November. If there is anything left in the money tin the interior will get done, but i very much doubt it sadly. Leaving me to finish over the winter for an MOT next April and it's first outing will be LMC track day at Goodwood
Quote: redmond wrote in post #38Where some cunt takes the side off it ..I wouldn't be taking it on any track unless it was empty ... How any hours they quoted for the paintshop
, that could happen at anytime with some of the cunts on the road, at least on the track everyone there is very much of a certain level
Paintshop hasn't been discussed yet, put it this way whilst taking the engine out the car is sat next to a completely stripped vintage DB4 /5 having a new front lower valance fabricated and indicator openings redone, so i'm guessing i may cry a little when i'm presented with the bill

Spent way more than it's worth or that i have!, thought we where there when the bonnet and doors had been done and re-hung...
Bonnet repairs to the point where it hinges...
All 4 doors required the bottoms rebuilding....
Then after rebuilding the front of the engine i was refitting the tank and found some more by the rear trailing arm mounts which turned into the full length of the floor pans both sides and required removal and repair of the jacking points and the brackets that Fiat / Lancia use when there on the production line that everybody thinks are jacking points!
Finally now all 4 doors, bonnet and boot rehung and gapped, just been removed for spraying. Should be back for Christmas i hope
