got the first two albums and saw them on their first tour outside sheffield but not really for me these days. Of the two lps I've got the second pisses over the first - better song writing, better lyrics and shit hot production.
Yep
I was completely caught up in the AM wave, seeing the first gig at The Grapes, then Forum, Boardwalk, etc... going all over the country and then into Europe was class. Lads fully deserve their success. People criticising them for 'having long hair' etc. boils my piss. Everyone forgets they were teenagers when they wrote those first songs. Other bands would sell their souls to write tracks like that now, let alone when they were 16.

You weren't one of the big group of lads who came down to London for their gig at the Garage were you? Think it was their first time outside Yorkshire? Rammed venue, support band nearly drowned out by continuous "Yorkshire! Yorkshire!" chants.
Listened to a couple of their tracks on the way in this morning, drumming on the second album is superb - worht listening to for that alone
First 2 Albums were great. Teddy Picker is one of my favourite songs. About the new music-style....I can't be bothered with it. Sounds way too different than they used too, which is a bad thing imo.
I didn't come down for the garage gig, but did for the first Astoria show. Sold a ticket outside for £100
Ryan, it's Josh Homme from QOTSA. He took them to the Rancho de la Luna studio, where they record the Desert Sessions. His influence makes that album, so hoping for a similar approach on this one.
