Massive kudos for starting the thread.
My father aside, this man had the biggest influence on my life.
The single constant through football in my lifetime. From Aberdeen through utd. My whole life contains fergie related elements/ memories/ moments like most of my generation. Can't fathom he wouldn't come through this. His achievements will never be surpassed by anyone. Definitely get well soon
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
Didn't realise how I'd feel if anything ever happened to the big man. Reading all the comments of support from around the world has brought me to tears.

The amount of respect the man has is unbelievable.
Daniel Taylor from the Guardian tweeted a piece that he wrote about SAF when he retired. It describes how much of an affect the great man has had on United fans -and beyond- not only about football but in the day to day lives as well.

I didn’t expect to see you on this thread mate.
Assumed you’d still be bitter about the trial
Scored 3 in front of the great man at the cliff but obviously my heat map for movement was questionable and once Archie knox said I was too fat the dream was over strangely my bro loved Aberdeen and that fergie team so I grew up aware of him. Still remember watching the famous robins goal that allegedly saved him. Anyone honest will tell you a win over utd in the fergie era meant double to now. The 5-0 nil at the bridge remains one of our favourites and we did ok over years but make no mistake. Utd with fergie was generally the team you feared. We'd have beaten Barca in Moscow if youd lost that semi....

Ramsees: I'd imagine Archie Knox saying that to you will stay will you for the rest of your life . To be fair to you, AK wasn't the greatest judge of anything given he fucked us off to become assistant at Rangers just as our success was kicking in. I hope the cunt rues that decision to the day he dies
Mogs: You should have all clubbed in for one for him
