Quote by anth mcbayand?? i guess it is, just my thoughts on lee clark. i detest the cunt, your probably to young to remember what the cunt done to get himself a move from sunderland, and then admitting he couldnt bring himself to play for sunderland in a derby against them, even though we were paying his wages.
im well aware of mr clarks behaviour., however he wouldnt have become manager, and any silly banter to suggest he would have doesnt bother me in the slightest.
reached for the secret too soon, cried for the moon.
As a Celtic fan I love O'Neil. I am expecting big things from him at the stadium of light. No offence to Sunderland fans on here, but I expected him to stay put for a bigger job.

Beggars can't be choosers.
Once Pardew does his classic and bottle it I bet you wish you had O'Neil.

Oh no Sunderland are a step up from SPL. But he did good at Celtic so took a step up to Villa. Worked wonders there so surely he should go a step above again.
Good start to be fair and the stadium looked full.
I'd agree with that. Not sure he'll ever get THE big job which once seemed like only a matter of time for Martin. Of course he took a sabbatical from the game to look after his then sick wife which shows he has his priorities right. Has an incredible passion for the game (just a thought though when foreign managers leap around the sideline they get lambasted...) and an enthusiasm which has to be infective. Knows the value of hard work as he did a long and arduous apprenticeship as a manager. Highly intelligent guy, one of Northern Ireland's finest. Tad eccentric and whacky which is unusual for someone from Ulster. I love him just for the fact that he once managed a club called Shepshed Dynamo. Sorry Toon fans but 'Pards' isn't on a patch on MON.
Quote by SpenceOverrated manager imo. Had Sidwell on 50k a week at Villa.
You serious? Took over Villa when they finished 16th. Finished his period with them and they finished the season at 6th.
Took Celtic to a Uefa Cup final who lost by a goal in extra time to the exact same Porto side that went on to win the Champs League the next year after beating Man United to reach the final against Monaco. Not a bad effort with an SPL side.

But all allowed opinions I guess!
but surely any valid opinions should always be informed and based on logic and fact? More often than not O'Neill has worked wonders wherever he's been. I wish there was more people like Martin in football.

The bit about opinions was tongue in cheek.
I totally agree, such a nice guy who brings out the best in his club and actually cares about the team!
