They have got a lot of history to be fair, more than most, but recent decades and experience should tell them they are doing very well just to stay in the top flight. If Steve Bruce keeps them in the Premier league then he has done his job.
Quote by Leicester_LoyalSpent quite a bit this summer and they've been pretty rubbish.
Never rated Wes Brown at all myself, and didn't they pay over a million for him? At 32 years old.
Without injuries Wes Brown would have been the 1st choice England centre back for the past 7 or 8 years in my opinion. More natural talent that both Ferdinand and Terry IMO. Amazed you don't rate him, but that is football!
Quote by VasqueThe natives haven't supported him for a while. Maybe they expect to win the league or summat?
Think it stems back to the 5-1 humping we took off the mags tbh the 4-5-1 formation never worked yet he still consisted on playing it, Selling Bent fair do`s he wanted away unhappy what Bruce didnt release was the relationship with his daughter and Bent, He then payed £14mil for Gyan breaking our transfer record then in the August with about 12 hours left lets him go on loan saying he had nothing to do with it? Surely a manager has to sign for this to go through, Spends around £30 mil in the summer and puts them on the bench and loans a striker after raking in £44mil in the summer? Just stupid decisions like this its week in week out i believe to have started after the 5-1 and bent going
Steve Bruce is one of those 'inner circle' of manager's who regardless of performance is alway's gonna be in a job. Tbf against Wigan they did have some bad luck and i can see it hurting the local's watching their neighbours doing well. In his defense losing Bent and Gyan, which were out of his hand's, hasn't helped his cause. Sunderland ain't the big club they think they are and finishing mid table was an achievement in it self.
Like Robson, Bruce is a useless conman manager with a good agent. Spends money for fun on mediocre players. He bottled it at Sheffield United and I expect him to leave Sunderland in a worse state than when he started
Never rated him as a manager. Always seems to go to clubs (Who at the time) have money going back to when he failed to get Huddersfield in the play-offs. Does fuck all and then lands another decent job.
about time, we were playing some good football a few year back, signed some good players, but no progress was made beyond that, he is tactically inept. too many excuses and that shows on the pitch, he couldnt get the players to perform.
deluded? not one bit, but we were looking pretty strong a few seasons back, and he hasnt built on it or even maintained that level of performance. its been long overdue this.
reached for the secret too soon, cried for the moon.

that is a joke isnt it?? bad team selections, bad signings, playing players out of position. 30% win rate since took over, i,m sure theres more negatives, give a think i,ll get back to you.

no joke . I don't watch or follow Sunderland , but look back last season , you beat us 3-0 , and didn't just beat us taught us a lesson , seam to remember some other good results you got . obviously if you go the game then you are more qualified than me to comment , just saying it as I saw it .
