Just caught the news headlines.. I'm sure most can remember the recession at the back end of 80s loads of tradesmen I knew didn't have any work going to effect us all big time I'd imagine with job security pensions houses prices..
More scatter gun scare tactics by our cuntish media. They will have us all barking at the moon shortly.
We know without doubt there will a significant downturn as business is effectively shutdown, it WILL return in some fashion and fairly soon.
Remember these daft fuckers set us rapidly into recession the last time weeks and months before it was upon us. Headlines like that turn the public into raving loonies, spending will cease, people won't spend even if they could which makes the situation worse.
I'm cutting down massively on the amount of media I watch/absorb just now. Catch the headlines one or twice a day at most.
After this shit storm I intend to get the sleeves rolled up and get on with it as best I can. I'm fairly fortunate so far as i'm working from home. Won't last forever though.
And how exactly are you going to find out what’s happening in the world without the media?
You choose what media you consume, there are plenty of trustworthy news sources out there you just have to be a bit more selective and stay away from the red tops and daily mail.

Is that not exactly what I just said. I'm being selective and reducing my exposure. Never bought or read a red top for years!
The fuck off media comment is in reference in glorying bad news and sending panic, good news stories at a premium, just they way they like it
Given where we are GDP was always going to fall on its arse Retail / Dining & Drinking / Leisure are all going to struggle on a shut down, a lot of other areas will bounce back fairly quickly when activity starts again. "Recession" is a word the media should be explaining rather than randomly throwing around to scare everyone.
Be careful what you dream of it may come up and surprise you.
In these circumstances the Government should explain what recession means. As has been said, if there's no-one working and no-where to spend your money, of course there will be a dip. People sre claiming unemployment benefits, because they are not allowed to work, not because they haven't got jobs. They really know how to panic a nation...
