Any of you chaps suffer from or have in the past? Had a medical thing at work yesterday, thing they do every couple of years, said mine was high after 3 readings so advised go doctors to get it checked. Got to admit was a bit shocked as I dont smoke or drink that much eat a pretty decent diet and wouldn't say I was massively over weight, but suppose I am 55 so can happen. Just wondered if anybody had got theirs down without medication cos I dont want to be on meds if i can help it so any tips appreciated.suppose if I had to say something i dont do enough of its exercise, used to go gym but obviously not at the minute, but being honest dont do much else apart from dog walks. Going drs next week and I'm going to get a monitor for home to keep checking it. I had covid a month ago and few people I've spoke to said their BP went up when they had it,hoping next time its checked its come down and alls fine😊
You've got a very good point there pal🤣the number of people I've heard over the years saying leeds arent good for my blood pressure 😆😆 Definitely going to make a conscious effort to do more exercise, thinking of buying bike to go to work and out for rides,I've never been able to do running even at school😟
If you go for a bike let me know your budget and al help you pick one.. A done over 1200 miles last year, al not do that this year but still out most weekends
I take blood pressure tablets, more as a precaution than because my BP is high. Had a triple heart bypass 7 odd years ago, so take the tablets to be on the safe side.I walk everyday, but thats it for exercise, although I cycle(occasionally) in the summer. I've also not drank since the start of Jan, as I put on fsr too much weight during the first nine months of lockdown..🍺🍺🍺🍺

How’s things been with your health since the operation Mac? Can’t believe it’s been 7 years
I was diagonisd with hyper tension about 15 years ago. Fallout from the 90's lifestyle basically. They put me on meds which did FA so decided to change my diet (went vegan) and excercise more. That did the trick.

Sorry Tone. Only just seen this. All good mate. I used to get the flu, bad chest infections, cramp and horrendous hayfever before the op. Now I get none of those things. I do have the flu jab though. I was told my heart was running with 10% blood pumping through it beforehand though, so things couldn't have been any worse....
