Ronaldo. Messi is exceptional yes; but he's no where near the player he is for Barca when he plays for Argentina. Good when he has a very good midfield supporting him. Ronaldo was amazing for us and he's just on another level for Madrid. In all honesty though I dont think you can compare them, Messi is more of a technical player. whereas Ronaldo is all about the pace/power.
Some say they've seen Angels - I've seen United - That's enough
Close call, prefer messi as a person, but think Ronaldo would bag goals wherever/whoever he plays for. Messi is a product of Barcelona and plays their way & struggles playing any other way. With Ronaldo he can play anywhere and adapt to different situations.

exactly. Whoever thinks that teams have a chance playing Barca 'at football' are dreaming. This team will take anyone apart who dares to try and beat them playing football. In the main, the only option is to spoil, flood the middle, force them wide, close the little gaps down in the last 3rd...and hope you get a goal from somewhere on the break.

going down 'under challenge' is all part of the game T 2 games undefeated against the so-called 'greatest of all time', came back from 2-0 down when '10 men went to mow' at fortress Nou Camp and Messi still hasn't scored against us. I'll take that
Should add - Danny Alves is no stranger to a dive

To be fair Glenn I think Real Madrid were the better side in their last three meetings. Obviously Madrid don't play like Barca but they took them on and beat them fair and square and it wasn't all ten men behind the ball. Jose it would seem, has found a way

take your point Andy and yet muppets such as Duram on talksport doesn't believe Madrid 'played football' against them - and merely defended and countered. Personally, I did think Madrid did a bit more than simply sit deep but I thought the one time Madrid tried to take them on in their own similar style, they got humped 5. I'd also say, for the current Barca team, they aren't just as clinical/threatening as the Guardiola team for a few reasons (probably because they've been so good so long and have stagnated a tiny bit) and overall I just think you can spring a result on a one game perhaps like Arsenal managed but very difficult over 2 games to 'outplay' them. The year we had Hiddink was deserved it over 2 legs, definitely the better team, yet lost that tie whereas we've beaten twice over 2 legs when we've not been the best team if truth be told. and of course, we didn't 'outplay' them with attacking football but merely had a strategy and stuck to it.
And somewhere in the Midlands last May, a smartly dressed man sat in his living room and had steam emerge from his ears watching the Champions League Final unfold..late Munich goal and it's all [smile] then Top Drog scores with a minute left and it's all then the hated Drogba gives away penalty [smile] then Cech saves it ......can only imagine the ecstasy to the agony poor Tone must have endured from 3-1 on pens to Munich to Didier the Diver stroking the historic one home priceless

Totally agree and we all know what happened to United twice when they tried to just play 'normal' football against them. Makes me laugh when people slate what Mourhino and Di Mateo did tactically against Barca. It isn't pretty to watch but are they supposed to just turn up and let Barca tonk them so everyone sees 'nice' football? As for those last three meetings between Barca and Madrid, anyone who watched them and believes Madrid just employed anti-football tactics are just clueless. Madrid were comfortably the better side in two of those games.
