He is by all accounts. You dont ever hear any horror stories about him from anyone at United, they all still talk about him very highly 11 years on.
If you ever go to the Denim Dr in Manchester, he has a massive wall with pictures of all the famous people him and his late father have done work/made suits for. In the middle there is this big picture frame from when he made Ronaldo a suit.
As you can imagine its garish, iirc its white with a pink silk lining but there's photo's from every fitting and stage. They're all taken in Ronaldo's house.
Micheal, the denim doc, cant speak highly enough of him and tells me he's one of the nicest A-list celebs he's done work for when they are in Mcr- and there's a few: Springsteen, Prince etc etc
When Portugal played Argentina (I think) a few years back in a friendly at OT, he walked the entire length of Deansgate with a few of his teammates pointing out the bars and restaurants that he used to frequent when he lived in Manc. He got mobbed, but signed every photo and had his photo taken with everyone that asked.
I love him, the best player I've seen play for United along with Bryan Robson
Think Ronaldo is a fantastic footballer and a fantastic person.always had alot of time for him and watching that documentary just confirmed it,plenty of idiots slag him.but imo there are loads of footballer who arent a patch on him.on or off the pitch and are complete cocks. Blimey, I'm starting to like you Leeds...
Andy Mitten tells a good story about being in the tunnel at the start of a friendly against Real Madrid in America back in 2014. He's with Pat Crerand doing some stuff for MUTV and Ronaldo says hi to Paddy remembering him from MUTV.
Ronaldo then says to his team mates in Spanish who Paddy is and that Paddy was part of the 1968 European Cup winning side. Queue a load of Madrid superstars making a a 75 year old man feel very special.
He didn't have to do that or even acknowledge him, but it tells you what a decent lad he is.
Did I hear that he has half a billion in the bank and the most followers on IG in the world?
Not bad for someone who Sam Allardyce remarked 'might just make it at Man United, but he needs to keep his head up more' in only his second game
