Aye that's why another Chelsea player stated that SJP is the most atmospheric ground in the premiership ,Ray Wilkins, don't think you have ever been to Newcastle or is it Newcarsle
Quote: Leonard Osbourne wrote in post #78[quote=nothavinit|p225107]As you would expect from a last minute winner. You can hear a pin drop in most games.
Your possibly the worst wind up merchant I've seen. You were clearly getting bum raped in the exchange so you brushed it off by saying you were on a wind up.
Quote: 1985casual wrote in post #73I take it you weren't at the Bridge last season when we spanked you's 2-0 and completely outsung you for 90 mins?
Or at SJP this season when Sissoko raked the winner in the final minute and the ground was bouncing for the majority of the game?
Ian, I was there this season at SJP and sorry but if that was your ground "bouncing", then you're in trouble. Your ground was bouncing when you scored the winner. No question, noise on a par with Ibrox at its best. But the rest of the game? it was flat as fuck. And that includes when you went ahead. Certainly nothing I'd be boasting about as that's the kind of atmosphere we get often at SB that most call shit. not being flippant here but any of the top 4 grounds tend to be mostly shit at home because all have attracted their share of glory hunters during the PL years and secondly they tend to play 'big games' quite a lot of people have to pick and choose games they go to. stands to reason. How often do you hear the OT crowd outsung by away fans? than that's a 70 oddK support most weeks. Does that mean Utd dont pull numbers/noise when they want? course not. Even Liverpools famous home atmosphere is a shadow of what it was nowadays. We've played utd 5 times this season alone. now by the 5th time, the 'big game against Utd' tends not to be as big anymore, eh. and that's before Europe comes in which again, when you're playing CL EVERY season, a CL game quickly moves from a 'must attend' to just another group game.... regards our support, anyone who was about in the 80s knows the numbers chelsea pulled. It's been well documented. I'm not sure what people now expect when they point score about our support? Is it our numbers of ''lads'' in the away end? as surely that one is self explanatory. Or just number of supporters in general? (as I thought they were all glory hunters/plastics anyways so on that basis we're lacking in 'plastics' numbers....is that not good????) Or it is the actual amount of singing? as to quote Mr Wright' "not sure how much singing we did in the 80's" but we were still happy with our support. Maybe people judged how good your support was on other criteria back then rather than singing...
@Vasque - Andy, re:JT I think he needed to be in kit to get the trophy. Presumably Lamps had offered to let him lift it jointly. That was the difference with Hazard and Ba. Last season all were in kit at the end as stipulated by the club. The sight of Branna sitting on the crossbar in full kit seemed to be missed by most last year! and as for the Johnstone Paint Trophy, I've no doubts had you won it, your announcer would have happily read it out as one of Fergies trophy wins and someone would have drawn a little picture of it on that banner they had hanging at OT last weekend
anyways, another great away had. Slept for 15 hours solid when I got home

As for plastic fans , you actually know these people you keep seem to be going on about ? Think any club has them , old fella by me at our local , spurts shite all day long about the massive club that once was , Liverpool , yet never set foot inside the promised land of Anfield .. Some can't afford the daft prices being charged , so that makes them plastic ?
"contributes all season to their success"
24 games compared to Lampards 38 Like I said, I've no problem with CFC or Lampard lifting the trophy, it was that twat running on the pitch to claim it for himself!
Plastic fan:
Someone who's only experience of visiting their teams ground was probably a birthday treat by their parents or a school day trip. Plastic fans are the ones who watches every game from the comfort of their living room sofa and are usually the most vocal when their team wins, and who only see good in their team.
Just out of curiousity , you go to the game ? Only most of the time you post about going to the pub , and you only ever seem to post / start thread about Chelsea , I can't really recall you posting much about West Brom ..

No, I haven't been to a game all season, why should I when the game is on in my local, Guinness is 2.60 a pint and all my mates are in there! I do start threads about other clubs/players but they don't quite gain enough interest, maybe because thats down to lack of posts from your good self?!?!

Bum raped? By being called a cunt?
A grown man calling people cunts over the internet, he bum raped himself.

How about you start a thread about West Brom, or one of its players and we'll see how many pages it goes to.
Newcastle is a one club city - it's Newcastle, Newcastle, Newcastle, hence why the fans have a tendency to be delusional, perfectly demonstrated by Dempsey.
Look at the Newcastle end at West Brom, the vast majority are in black and white, you would never see that in a Chelsea end. Proper divvy away support. Wahey man!
why ? I'm only really bothered by my own club .. my club provides me with enough interest , you spout on about plastic fans , and you never even go yourself you fucking plum .. you must spend most of your free time trawling for Chelsea scandal or your silly little pictures ..

Oh dear, my description of a plastic fan.........hope you don't think it was aimed in your direction?!?!?!?!

Quote: Dempsey wrote in post #87Best supported team in the premiership, won nowt for 43 years and regularly get over 50 thousand, now that's loyal and as for Ibrox do me a favour
just for clarity, the 'do me a favour' is in reference to? their support? the noise/atmosphere they make? the numbers they take? what exactly? and presumably based on personal experience?

What does 'Wahey man' mean? hahaha
Vast majority are in Black and White, vast majority always have been to some extent. It is well known that despite NUFC having a number of 'firms' throughout the years, there was never 'one' so to speak and if anything happened, every one would jump in. How many books and other things state that in a place like Newcastle, if you went looking for trouble or started trouble, all of a sudden you could have Hundreds and Hundreds jump in. It is a different mentality, the use of a 'firm' hasn't really been needed, it has always been the mentality that you defend the club no matter.
