His failure to beat a shit Man U side must have been the decider.
And good riddance, when he played for us, remember some ex-players saying when he showed up they needed to widen the changing room door so he could get his head in... His 8 points from 8 games at the end of last season was seen as the work of a tactical genius and nothing to do with the fact Swansea completely capitulated. Still i suppose the £1 million he got for "saving" us last season and the new 3 year contract he signed in the summer, which will be paid up, will soften the blow for him Nice work if you can get it
I'm fairness he did go to you after playing for us alongside Zola and gullit so can see why he may have felt a bit too good for your lot
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."

True
Watched him sign every autograph in a large crowd whilst gullit screwed his face up signing 1.... And his goal against Vicenza in the CWC semi remains one of our great moments. Not to mention his role in our fa cup come back against the dippers from 2-0 down. Still in my top 10 of favourite games
But never matched any of it as a manager.

My mackem pal is going. Haven't been to Wembley since 97 cup final and given it was one of the best days of my life I doubt I'll go back. Wouldn't want to ruin the memories I have. Tone you must have some great black and white memories

Bottom of the league so looks like my lot are going down to league two, not been once this season but from what I've read and heard I've not really missed much. Relegation party at delightful Scunthorpe beckons 👀
A whole top tier empty at the Emptihad last night for Man City's greatest team ever and potential quadruple winners v Cardiff.
Meanwhile across the city, the last game of the season, a pointless fixture against Cardiff is sold out months in advance.
7,000 tickets also returned out of an allocation of 30,000 for Saturdays FA Cup Semi v Brighton.
The arabs might well be able buy a club to 'sportswash' their dirty cash, bribe Fifa, Uefa & manchester city council, try to invent some history and put 3 gold stars above their badge but they still cant get enough people to fill their rented stadium.
