Roman wouldnt be happy with Jose if he doesn't return a trophy this season Season will be a big failure for all the investment in players and wages.
Dave Ranieri wouldn't ever have won the league with us no matter how much he spent. The money is vital of course but without the right man spending it theres nothing guaranteed. And don't agree. It's clear from day one this wasn't gonna be like first time around. 2 seasons maybe and questions would need asked but this season?. Still in with a shot of the league and Cl home semi leg to win For the final? Any Chelsea I know would have taken your arm off for this back in August. Particularly given the exemplary record against the top 4 and having played the season with an aging Sammy eto up front. .

Glenn Ranieri inherited a weaker squad that needed far more work on it and at the time Man Utd were strong and Arsenal probably had there greatest team / squad back then Jose would have struggled to break the twos stranglehold on the title.
Agreed Jose is tactically one of the best but is it not his job to sign a striker better than what you currently have. Think he's tried to be too clever with Lukaku, loaning him to Everton for the season hoping that he will score and hurt teams competing with Chelsea for the title but think he could have been the difference if had kept him at Chelsea. Not saying Lukaku is brilliant but he is better than Ba, Etoo and Torres.
Well, I tell them there's no problem Only solutions

In regards to strikers and Lukaku I think jm thought he'd get more from torres. Ba showed his big limitations today. His touch is shocking and second touch is a tackle. And Eto is a stop gap. Lukaku has scored plenty Fir Everton but technically his touch and movement isn't good. The super Cup showed glimpses of how he'd be exposed at the higher levels. That said Aye he'd have been a better option than what we had. He'd have scored more goals for sure. But not sure it was any great ploy to farm him out. Still we'll see soon if Jose just doesn't fancy him

Tbf mate, in defense of Ranieri he did sign Fat Frank, Makelele and Gallas. If memory serves me correctly, Ranieri was instrumental in signing Drogba and Cech, but was sacked before they got a game, along comes Josie, takes all the credit and Chelsea's history begins.

And that avatar of your's is shiiiiiiite!
Along comes jose and takes the credit....nice try
Yes, Ranieri did sign those and plenty more.....Veron, Joey Cole, Mutu, etc...etc..... my point was that having spent a further 130 million on top of the squad he had, we still finished trophyless. He was an example of the money not guaranteeing you win something. Ranieri went throguh a strange situation. He started off with money, then went through a period when we were skint so had none....then had megabucks.... Absolute gentleman he was as well. His reaction in the CL away to Arsenal will always remain one of my favourite memories.

I'm not slating him mate. I really liked Ranieri. I remember us having a debate at the back of the stand on his last game v Leeds about why the hell the club was getting rid of him. No-one in our vicinity wanted him to go. But I'm not sure we'd have had a fraction of the success with him even with the money. And Monaco away killed him. He was never gonna recover from that. Hasselbaink coming on at left midfield/back was my abiding memory from a catastrophic second half.
Bringing in JM obviously proved the correct move.

I didn't think you were mate. I was like you. Why let him go? But then they brought in Jose. I'm still a bit mashed from yesterday so please pardon my England. Luckily Gibraltar have loads of weird bank holidays, so I'm still in bed.

Sorry to piss on your parade Mr. Ramsees, but if you'd beaten the shit teams like Palace, Sunderland and West Brom you could have lifted the trophy yesterday.

Carry on
true. although don't think I didn't notice the effort at subliminal messages that WBA cost us the league. I didn't work We're in good stead for next season and a proper tilt at it with a couple of additions to the squad. Oh and a small matter of a CL semi final on Wednesday night.....

ENGLISH Premiership has now become a contest to see who can throw away the most cash. It's a struggle of power between Arabs, Russian crooks and Wealthy Americans none of them have a clue about football. Has become a league where whoever spends the most will invariably win it. It's become business not a sport.
