4 mins actually , scored the goal then that was it .. Chelsea had a good 15 mins spell just before Liverpool second goal .. Coutinho was superb, you'll struggle to keep him .. Skirtel was massive at the back .. As for Jose, only has himself to blame, Mikel isn't even a Sunday league player, bringing Hazard off was baffling .. I don't think Mourinho will be sacked as there's a small matter of £37 million severance pay ..

I dont think money matters when it comes to letting a manager go these days.

Hard to say Oz, team look absolutely shit ! There's no passion, no desire, players look fucked, and some don't want the ball .. I do like Jose, but sometimes you need to realise when the time is right to go, and now is right .. He won't walk, £37 million, would you ? Can you seriously sack him, pay that money, then pay big for another manager ? I honestly can't see what the resolution is ..

Ive got.no problem with the club dropping players to the reserves and playing the kids. If they cant get over a few grievances for £100000 pw then fuck em whoever you are. You play for the club and fans not for the manager. Sacking Jose is letting sulky players getting their way.

amen. Martin Samuel makes a similar point. If I was the Russian, I'd clearly let it be known, Jose is here to stay but under performing players will be fucked off. CL is gone now anyways so anything else is just about avoiding relegation.

Fucking hell if I had said to you in August that you would be uttering those words you would have sent the men in white coats around to take me away.
Victim of our own success .. 1988 I stood in the shed avoiding piss trailing down floor, watching teams Like Luton , Millwall , etc , now we don't win the League the manager goes .. I am shocked at winning the league to what was on display Saturday .. No passion no fight no fire in the belly .. Team divided , fans too , Stoke away Saturday night .. Doesn't get any easier ..
That's exactly it mate. Which shows how badly some are preforming. Same manager same players same tactics. ...something is up. We didn't play well this calendar year but even a 70% chelsea should be top 8 with our squad on paper. When costa hazard Oscar Fabregas matic all play like it doesn't bother them what the result is you've got problems. For all his faults terrys face at full time showed it all. He was utterly devastated. Hazard didn't look that bothered being subbed on 57 minutes. Mourinho is far from blameless but some of the players have been a disgrace.

you thoroughly deserved the win, no bones about it. Pressed us quickly knowing we're too slow in moving the ball. However, I'll give you a bit of context before you get carried away......the time added on goal shouldn't have been. Not accordingly to Howard Webb who stated clearly refs are expected to play exactly the minutes held up unless something happens to warrant additional time during added on time - which nothing did according to him. Lucas......last week Matic got 2 yellows and the mantra was "can't argue, both yellows. should have no complaints"....this weeks mantra is "if it's a second yellow the ref has got to show some common sense and understanding of the game.....".... same Clatternberg who issued a second to Torres at Old Trafford for diving after he was clearly fouled. And thirdly, Liverpool committed 22 fouls in our 43% possession. that's an average of fouling just over every 1.5 minutes we'd the ball. It took Can 4 decent goes on Willian to get booked. You got 4 yellow cards. We got 7 yellow cards from 12 fouls against West Ham.
we're not in our position because of Referee mistakes or the FA. That's categoric, but some decisions haven't helped at critical times yet seem to go unlighted. Such as an offside Lalana having to jump over Bentekes shot yet wasn't called offside. Not even a talking point apparently. bottom line is that we've been outplayed and beaten by worse teams than Liverpool this season so I for one wasn't particularly surprised. Who's to blame? the managers and the players primarily. The ratio of that is all down to opinion after that.

I think Hazard is one of the best in the World, attacking force he's incredible, but the demands of Jose for him to defend baffles me.midfielders or defenders should be there to tackle and win the ball, players like Hazard need to be used to his best, and what he does best is attack, and set goals up, so that where I struggle with Jose .. He looks shagged out, and done Nothing Saturday .. If not careful he'll be off to Barca or Real ..
Quote: 1985casual wrote in post #192I read it is Hazard that has had the big falling out with Jose, which probably explains his dip in form.
He was instrumental in winning the league last year, you's are missing that bit of brilliance to change games.
I said to my Chelsea supporting mate at the weekend that the players have no fight in them, like they weren't arsed about getting beat.
last year we won games through determination, digging in, grinding out, refusing to give in.....particularly after Xmas. I've seen little of that this season and none of it from the above list. I don't class petulantly kicking your opponent as "showing never say die" attitude (costa). as for Hazard, he's got wonderful ability but lets be straight. He's not in the same league as Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez, etc.... and he's got an attitude when things aren't going to his liking. This has been flagged with Belguim not just us. I had some sympathies in that he burdened a lot of the creative side last season but his performances this season has been a disgrace. When was the last Player of the year that their own fans are crying out for the manager to drop? I cant remember it. Not 11 games in.

This happens quite a bit with English players. They perform well and after only a handful of games they are selected for England, end up with a big money move then never reach their full potential. Too much hype and inflated ego's coupled with bad advice from agents do not marry with success. As is proved by England's abject failure at international level.
Footballers can act no better than a petulant child at times and the wage structure allows them to do it.
Change it to performance related and watch the rise in quality right across the pitch.
I wonder how much effect having a past it Falcao on the bench raking in God knows how much a week more than some of Chelsea's established players has, they seem to have more than their fair share of mercenaries in the squad and not the type of players like Drogba, Czech and Essien for example who bought into the managers ideas and the club in general. Also Terry is such a big influence (and ego) you wonder what marginalising had on the dressing room.
